Samsung Galaxy Note9 may launch early and it's Galaxy S9's fault

29 March 2018
Analysts say the early 2018 flagship isn't selling as well as expected, so the late 2018 flagship may not be so late after all.

Lccy, 29 Mar 2018Give me a flat screen and I'll buy one as all the other man... moreNot a Note, but the S9 Active is probably the most desirable phone they will produce. Flat screen, big battery. But, limited to USA, sadly.

Last time, Samsung launches the Note early, it turns into a fire hazard. Hope their R&D is up to task this time...

So true. I just can't accept curved screen. And for a note it should be flat screened. Aspect ratio can be given a thought too.

A $/€/£200 price cut should do the trick for the S9 duo.

I am guessing that the Huawei P20 Pro has disrupted the snartphone market in ways unimaginable. Even the next iPhone will be released earlier than usual. A lot of flagships this year will not do as well.
Photography constitutes a Huge portion of the charm of smartphones, and the improvements and innovations are mostly disappointing.

I hope the S10 has a 48MP and 12MP combination with a 3x Zoom and even better photography. Also if it does 5k instead of 4k, it would be amazing (or 4k @ 4-2-2 10-bit).

Smartphone cameras and technology has become stagnant, and the Huawei P20 Pro is a very welcome change.

I almost bought Note 8 but battery was and still is show stopper for me (regardless of price that went don't) battery is totally unacceptable and failure on Samsung's side... if Note 9 increases battery to some decent value (close to 4k mAh) and keeps S9+ features like stereo speakers I'm in

I keep my note8 until 2019 or 2020.. either note 10 or 11.. plenty of time than rushing buy new one simple is save money first and review new one then buy one.. it up to u to buy n9 or not.. note8 still great phone and think it much same as n8 apart some upgrade small features

If we look at the actual prices, is not very plausible pretend that your customers update the more expensive flagship yearly, the majority will not do that now. Add than years ago mid and mid-premium phones still had some flaws and suffer lag with some apps or games. But today with a SD636 or SD660 you can run everything and some of them come with really good cameras too. If you add A+B... you'll find the answer. It remains to be seen how much they can raise the prices before start lose money and be forced to step back to recover the sales at the phones launch. Or ends like the cars market, lower production of few exclusive and expensive flagships with the mid-premium range dominating the market for the majority. We'll see.

Another failure for Samsung. I am getting used to it now. Overcharging doesn't help either. Come on Samsung, know who you are. You are not Apple that can charge anything and people buy it.

Give me a flat screen and I'll buy one as all the other manufacturers are screwing up. I want to buy one because of the headphone jack and telephoto camera but the curves on the side of the screen are too aggressive

Samsung gives a note 9 with amazing specs. 16MP (f/1.5-2.4) 1.55 µm, Dual Pixel PDAF + 16MP (f/1.7) 1.4 µm, AF, OIS, phase detection autofocus, 4x optical zoom and 3750 mAh battery. Then i will buy it for sure.

well you charge a fortune to buy these phones, just bought my s8 last year July and you'd expect me to buy s9? imagine those who bought note 8. They're not cheap. Its the same people who love these models are going to buy and I'm sure many are in dilemma. Might just let these skip and wait for s10 and note 10 respectively because we're going to pay a fortune anyway. I wonder how the apple people are surviving.

                                Need a wider note 9
Not taller like last year note 8
It's need to look like a "note "
Not look like a a taller "bill"
In display fingerprint is just a gimmick
It's reduces sceeen quality and display replacement costs

What we need 8 GB Of ram ,more Spen features
More optimised operating system and good ram management , 4k screen quality with HVEC 10 BIT SUPPORT

Samsung need to release refreshed galaxy s4.Same built ,same screen size, android O,upgraded camera and chipset(snpDr 625 will be enough). And gues what they will outsell every one.
