12 April 2018
The upgraded phone will share most of the specs with the V30S ThinQ and will likely arrive at specific markets.

The design for the V30 is solid. They just need to tweak a few aspects (stereo speakers, factory tuned display, leaner UI tweaks, better update support with a count down timer or app to monitor the status of the update process, a four camera array and a 3500 mAh battery). Love their new haptics.

I know that more MP =/= Better Quality, but I hope they'll use a better sensor for this upgrade cause I'm one of the users who didn't like the quality of the Original V30 that's why it was a NO buy for me.

AnonD-686319, 13 Apr 2018I really don't care about the selfie camera (thankfully I'm... moreJust because you use the front camera or expect high quality results out of an expensive flagship device doesn't mean you have a disease or are a narcissistic.
And it's useful for more than just taking a selfie to stare at yourself.
And again on the pricing side it's just what's logical and rightful.

And just because the upped the mega pixels doesn't mean the rear one is upgraded. The v30 used a 16mp one. And it's quality wasn't really any better. They used lower budget sensors but charged high end prices.
Hopefully this time around its a different story.

Here's hoping the LG V35 ThinQ features 802.11ax next-gen WiFi.
To improve on the V30's durability, the V35 chassis/frame should be made of higher-grade alloy.
Aesthetically, the flash/sensor cluster can be placed between the two rear cams, as in the G6.
Will there be matching speaker-slits on the top and bottom edges for stereo?

I really don't care about the selfie camera (thankfully I'm not affected by the Selfie disease) I can even live without it, but I appreciate the upgrade of the back one, and hopefully they'll address the issues found in the original V30 which translates to an instant Buy from me )(coming from the V20 and OnePlus 3T)

                    AnonD-558092, 12 Apr 2018Please be quiet! They'll make a V35s with updated security ... moreLol hahahaha xD

LG V30 (as well as other versions of this phone, of course) has the best design compare to all phones curently available on the market. I just can't understand idea of the 'notch'. Bezels in V30 are very discrete and subtle so it's ok and looks great.
However, LG should improve camera features. Especially 1 µm pixels on the sensor is too poor. And slow-motion in 1080p 240fps should be able in a flagship mobile...

Viktorir, 12 Apr 2018The front facing camera really is trashTheir rear cameras were not all that great in g6 or v30 either. Lower budget sensors that shouldn't be used in flagship priced devices. Only saved by bright lense and heavy processing. Which actually is not always the greatest. But makes the average naive user happy

Samsung flagship smart phones all use curved screen. I know many of Android users don't like the curved screen. This actually gives good opportunity to the LG. LG somehow just keep messing up by itself. Now Chinese phone companies start becoming serious competition now, Huawei, Xiaomi, OnePlus and even Asus become more capable in terms of making high quality and attractive phones.

LG really needs to wake up. V30 is a reasonable phone, but starting price with over $800 just turned down all potential buyers. LG needs to understand where itself is now.

LG has been wasting times, moves and resources for all of this. Why don't they just released the v40 instead of these thinq and v35 with a very minor upgrade. It's like trapping buyer in a circle for their products, do LG really expecting gaining fans for this?

LG needs to stop re-releasing their phones & focus on releasing proper successors to their series.

Hopefully V40 will go the right track.

I will wait for ThinQ V35+ , which will come few weeks after V35 just like they did with V30.

I'm owner of an LG V20 (yeah 2 years old phone) and for me that phone is still amazing...One day I took selfies with my 5 MP front camera and was far better than the Galaxy A8 2018 (16 MP) and as perfect as the Huawei Mate 9 (8 MP) ... the point is the total of MP is just part of the equation...the sensor and external light conditions defines the quality of the selfie...not the total of MPs by itself.........
