Pubg mobile is the only one I've ever found that seems like a proper console/pc type game and it actually plays really well on my Note 8.
I'd be more than willing to try other ones.
All I can find is 'Clash of Clans' and other crap like that including 500 identical copies.

Zenodroid, 15 Apr 2018Only if they put huge batteries in it. 5000 mah at least. T... moreLol, why would gaming phone need better camera? Do u even read what u write. The only reason i hate why phones are getting expensive is because of camera improvement... There are no difference with your eye between cameras these days, unless you compare side by side. But you pay so much extra for that slight improvement... I wish i could buy a phone with best processor, decent battery, and DECENT CAMERA,again, DECENT CAMERA, not the one of the best, but the middle one as i dont need to take pro shots, cuz pro shots gonna be better on camera always.

in all honesty, razer should just get lost! their brands cater to such undesirable clientele, look at the country they are from! their government lied to them about developing the media and animation industry only for them to be left to fend for themselves! think just what kind of future gaming phones can have, figures!

will gaming phones have a future? will our children have a future? expensive purchases with no substance, developers hard work gone down the drain just because of haters, copycat things left and right, self centered players who only want to be without caring for others etc etc. just imagine the kind of people who plays such games and the government wants to develop the gaming industry right! as if! look how the xperia play went. look how the ngage went. such mere fads no wonder they are extinct. will gaming phones have a future, or will the cash cow be milked and sucked dried then left to die? so much to ponder, better stick with flagships! anything else is just a farce, gimmick to suck others.

Might succeed if priced right. The xiaomi shark with sd845 at that price is a bargain

I'd like to be optimistic in the hope that an OEM is able to get this right. What would be ideal if we are able to connect an eGPU via usb-c, the compatibility already exists as with PC and Mac, it's likely just a software update to the existing hardware. This would solve the power supply, HDMI out and add superior graphics to any phone whilst alleviating the phones GPU from any stress, meaning they wouldn't need to be cooled when docked. Nvidia might be a likely candidate, however their latest GPUs are powerful enough, for them not to push this and only seem to be used in luxury cars. Might be one for the independent developers.

I really feel bad for those who buy these so called "gaming" smartphones like RAZER, even though it is a gaming brand, mobile games are not a place to call yourself a true gamer. And like u said, plenty of kids will call themselves gamers because they got "gaming" smartphones. I guess u could say that these brands are blurring the real definition for the word "gamer"

You can be a true gamer on mobile, just need to know the correct games.
People saying there is no “gamers” on phone usually points to Candy Crush as example, have absolutely no clue of competitive true games for mobile.

Black Shark should come with front facing stereo speakers. Other than that, it’s a great deal, cheap phone with Snap 845 + liquid cooling. Great benefit for the price.

                          Gaming phone won't fly
Since the majority of "phone gamer" just play candy crush, mobile legend, r.o.s, fortnite, etc.
These game, didn't even demand a high end phone to work, and most of the one who play them just play with whenever phone they have, if they can afford the "gaming phone" might as well buy the switch, or a console

Yes but not too big. Gaming peripherals and gaming branded computer parts do have a good business recently.
As mentioned in the post, there is little differentiate gaming phones to flagship smartphones but this is the case with "gaming" branded PC hardware.

I'd like to see more 120fps displays and app support for this.

Gaming on touch screen is just bad so any 'gaming' phone should have physical button(like sony), add custom mapping and its 'gaming phone'.

At least the Black Shark is cheap tbh. Unlike Razer, which is overpriced af. Also w/ better SoC and screen ratio, since my fav games doesn't support that frame rate.

CM3, 15 Apr 2018How the hell does a true gamer not want a gaming phone?Because you're still playing on a tiny little screen with your fingers covering half of it

CM3, 15 Apr 2018How the hell does a true gamer not want a gaming phone?A true gamer? What kind of specifications stand out for a gaming smartphone like this XIAOMI BlackShark or even the RAZER phone? Nothing! They both sport the same type of specifications a high-end flagship would pack, even if the RAZER is announced last year, it performs the same as other high-end flagships using the SNAPDRAGON 835 too, the only thing it stands out is the IGZO 120hz display panel and the CPU tweaking, which doesn't allow it to overclock more than the maximum speed. Most people would say that gaming smartphones don't have a future in the smartphone world, I strongly agree. The thing is, is there anything u find on a gaming phone that can outclass the competition? Only for the cooling probably, but the rest, no. Look at gaming desktops and laptops, what makes them outclass the others? Their CPU, top of the line, capable of overclocking. Their motherboard, example MSI, with their gaming motherboards, gives u flawless control on the CPU. Liquid cooling, constantly cooling the CPU like example the i7 7700k to reduce the chance of thermal throttling. Their WiFi card, either is as powerful as Intel's AC8265 or Killer WiFi AC1535, with addition of a ethernet like Killer E2500. And also the graphics card, overclockable compared to the original one, built with heavy cooling. Look at ASUS STRIX graphics card, GIGABYTE's AORUS, MSI's, etc, all have heavy heat pipe cooling, to give beastly performance constantly without worrying much on stuttering. This is what makes gaming computers stand out from the competition. Let me tell u, true gamers, don't buy a gaming smartphone most of the time, it is just so funny, because it doesn't have anything different from any 2018 high-end flagship, referring to this XIAOMI BlackShark. U can literally have the same performance from other high-end flagships. True gamers don't game on a smartphone, that is purely pathetic. The real gamers are the ones playing the MOBA games or FPS like Black Ops 3, Fortnite, PUBG etc, those are the real gamers, the true ones. Glad I call myself a true gamer because I played those games on computer and not because I play on a smartphone! The only way, for gaming smartphones to rise, is to have something different, like overclocking, a advanced heatpipe system for cooling, optimal speakers meant to game on your smartphone. Or else, u will be probably seeing the XIAOMI BlackShark or the next few gaming smartphones as the last of its kind for gaming smartphones

I think it's purely a marketing gimmick because the games will be the same as on regular phones, though mayb they'll look a bit nicer, sound a bit nicer, run a bit longer. But still, the exact same games, because devs can't spend money to make special games for 0.001% of the market, nor even nicer graphics, all the more so since mobile gamers aren't used to paying console prices for games.

But as a marketing gimmick, I think it will work. Plenty of kids use "gamer" as a big part of their identity... they MUST have a matching phone ;-p
