Fastest growing AND largest markets are NOT US of A and Europe but Asia, Africa and South America , in that order. In all these markets, dual sim are so common that, single sim phones are seen as rare things.

iPhone prices go down 10% after 6 months. They cost 70-80% of their initial price after 12 months. They cost about 60-70% of the initial price after 18 months.
Fandroids buy a new phone every 12-18 months on average, selling their old device at 30% of what they paid for it. They add some more $$$ to that and get a new phone that will last them another 12-18 months.
Sheeple buy the latest iPhone and keep using it for at least 2 years. Then they sell it for 50% of the price they paid for it.
Thus in the course of 5 years, Fandroids already bought 3 phones and paid $2700** for them, while Sheeple only bought 2 phones and paid $1500** in total.

So yeah, Sheeple are money conscious and invest in quality products that hold their value and performance even after the 2nd year of use.

I am pretty sure they know how to build devices, so never think their devices are like this cause of something else. It is all about money, monopoly and locking user to their platform. Henche, apple users buy way more then all other users. Cause, everything you can do on other systems in 2 seconds, would take way to much cracking and haking on apple, so, forcing users to? Buy! And buy. And this is how apple is happy with their 7 procent global share.

Iphones are allready midragers with an highly incapable system and till not long ago, cheap banding materials. Now, i am not saying there aren't other devices like that, but they do not pretend what they are not;). They do not need to. Anyway, for some people to install 700 gazillion apps and make calls and holding a wannabe luxury device, might be a high end thing. But? There are others.

I know that you fandroids automatically associate it like old = cheap. My grandpa bought an Audi A4 for $ 50 000 in 2001. Today it‘s worth € 3000 but it is still in mint condition and for him, it still feels like the $ 50 000 car he bought 17 years ago.

And the truth is that people who want extra storage on the cheap, will not buy expensive SD cards. They will got for medium or low quality ones - that means affordable - and thus their phones will lag. That's what Apple is avoiding. They are not allowing people to install their own cheap hardware and then complain that things don't work properly.

Now they not only copying china-phones cameras (Huawei dual cam) and display design (sharp, xiaomi), Essential's Notch (Essential ph1) and taiwanese/korean phone sizes but also dual sim? I mean...wasn't apple all about being original and did sue everyone for copying?! Seems people don't care - sheep stay cheap.
