So i think in 6 months we can get SD 636 in moto G6S plus. And vanilla OS mean nothing when they can't give regular security updates.

What about updates? Will it get Android P update?

And just when I thought the SD630-powered Zenfone 5Q is already quite overpriced at $300.
Lol this one's worse. It's only going for water repellant protection.
At least the Zenfone 5Q has a dedicated SD Card Slot.

            Wait a minute
the G6 Plus is 300 Euros?
            (About 24k inr)
            What the hell?
You can get a redmi Note 5 pro. With a snapdragon 660 for 15k in India. The cameras too are almost the same here. If it's launched in India at this price, don't think anyone's gonna buy it. The Moto G series stood for Affordability and value for money. This is a money grab.
I wanted to love this phone, but at this price, no one's gonna like it.

I love that photo of G6. The back looks like a Galaxy S6 Edge, really classy

Dilmeet, 19 Apr 2018I doubt if the euro price is what we will get in India but ... moreDude if you are comparing Honor 8 Pro Vs Moto G6 Plus ( Skinned Rom Vs Pure Android)
Having a pure android is not gonna give justification for 20k INR price tag, SD630 is a lower midranger and it has to be around 15K territory that what it supposed to meant.

I'm really annoyed and disappointed with Motorola. Why wouldn't you bring the G6 Plus to the U.S.? Those of us who had a G5 Plus would see no reason to upgrade. This was a really stupid move by Motorola. We had the G5 Plus and G5S Plus in the U.S., but no G6 Plus? Does Motorola care about the U.S. market?

Now I have to hope HMD Global will bring the 4GB version of the Nokia 6 or the Nokia 7 Plus to the U.S.

sadh, 19 Apr 2018I got unlimited high quality Google photos and videos on my... moreYeah because Moto G6 Plus has nothing to offer and it has to justify their 300 euro price tag so here we go, we gonna get unlimited high quality Google Photos space.
Its a trick played by many like motorola , Nokia so that user misunderstand it to Unlimited Original Quality Photos/Videos just like Pixel Devices yet its the same thing you gonna get with any other phone or pc which has Google photos installed on it.

Arif238, 19 Apr 2018Wait a minute I just converted 300 euro in Indian currency ... moreI doubt if the euro price is what we will get in India but if it is true, dead on arrival.

On the contrary, please no point in comparing stock android with a skinned ROM. Both are separate with their own pros and cons.

Arif238, 19 Apr 2018Wait a minute I just converted 300 euro in Indian currency ... moreI dont think any phone around 16K in India has IP54 waterproofing, so g6+ should be the 1st.

Aloof, 19 Apr 2018John V from Phonearena mentioned "dollars" though.and that converts to about 20K INR which is still not justifiable enough for a SD630 powered Device.

Dilmeet, 19 Apr 2018Just curious to know what could have made it better?18:9 is... moreFor this price the Moto G6 plus should had sd660 and larger battery as at this price its in direct competition with Nokia 7 plus. The cameras will also be compared to Nokia’s Carl Zeiss.

Arif238, 19 Apr 2018Wait a minute I just converted 300 euro in Indian currency ... moreDirect currency conversion almost never works. The prices are decided by markets and not directly converted from the European or US prices(except maybe for flagships?).

I lost my intrest after Moto G3 .
The pricetag and os update after lenovo purchase not making any sense at all.
But good to see usb type C .does it have dedicated sd slot or they shitty hybrid sd slot.

Wait a minute I just converted 300 euro in Indian currency and it is 24,469 INR.
Really in India we can get Honor 8 Pro (6GB 128GB) for 23K INR from Official store.
16k INR is more than enough for 6GB variant for Moto G6 Plus which is a Lower mid-ranger.
I know in India they will launch it at 20K INR and with in 3 months their price will drop to 15K.
                                        Rest in Peace Lenovo/Moto.
I think they are deliberately doing it so that they lose sale which will translate to overall loss to the company so that Lenovo can shut down Motorola entirely and cut the jobs with a proper excuse for why they did, what they did.
