Mi Max 3 also rumored to come with SD636 same chipset with Redmi Note 5 Pro/China and Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 so the comparison can be done with all those phone.

I'm gonna miss the customisability of the ZENUI though. Oh well I can stick a custom ROM in it

Anonymous, 24 Apr 2018Its because it was by rabid fanboys who have no idea and wh... moreI understand your point Sir! I love features from Zenui such as double tap to wake/sleep,holding recent key to take screenshot etc,I can't imagine a smartphone without these features because they are hella convenient.

I have used ZenFone 2,as well ZenFone 3(my current device) too but they both came installed with enormous amount of bloatware.Even when we disable them, the phone keeps showing error like the "disabled app" has stopped working.Asus knows this and that's why they have reduced the amount of bloatware in their latest Zenui.

I've personally no problem with custom Uis but they shouldn't force bloatware on us.There should be a choice to completely uninstall applications that you don't want on your device because disabling them isn't the right solution.

I'm(and most of users too) happy that Asus went with stock Android with ZMPM1 since it has necessary features such as
double tap to wake/sleep and doesn't come with bloatware.I hope they'll keep providing required updates for the phone so that it runs efficiently.

gauravnartam, 23 Apr 2018Exactly! and later they even deleted the poll. 😂Its because it was by rabid fanboys who have no idea and whine about everything. They act as if google is ultimate lord and savior of humanity. I am nowhere close to xiaomi fan, but stock android is what it is now due to ROMs like MIUI, Touchwiz and Sense. Google does not invent things out of thin air, it takes features out of each rom and integrates them in framework. In case of custom ROMs that's done anyways. Just because 10000 or even 100000 people vote for something, They cant just stop working on ROM running in 300 million plus devices. Besides they even voted against one plus whose implementation is what i'd say stock android plus i.e simplicity of stock and features of other ROMs like dark mode and double tap to unlock. As long as ROM is simple, stable, usable and fast, It does not matter who makes it. Be it Samsung,Google or HTC. Android is about choices, no need to be a herd like what users of other OS are criticized for

                        [deleted post]Yes the variant is available after paying 25 $ more 4 GB/ 64 GB (RAM/ROM)

As far as difference goes bet n5p and this asus.... yes we should respect the differences..... like asus has more features . And also lower price. N5p has its own benefita.... like less features than asus and bit more expensive .

Every one should respect their diffrences

I am nokia loyal. So not interested in xiaomi or asus. But just going thru the specs reveals asus as clear winner

It matches n5p in every department and scores over it in battery, has dedicated sd slot, runs pure android ( which is always better then ios rip off miui.) has latest oreo8.1, promised upgrade to android q. Has certified speaker with passive bass adapter.

All these with a lower price point than n5p !

N5p cant keep up with this legendary asus

The Max series is already stepping up the game. The Snapdragon 636 is a powerful chipset for a device its price.

AnonD-625621, 24 Apr 2018No matter who says what. This is a xiaomi killer ! Asus ... moreI own Xiaomi device Redmi Note 3 in paeticular but not a fanboy or loyal to Xiaomi any brand. If Asus Zenfone Max Pro (M1) is good I will buy it and right now I looking for a new phone to replace my aging Redmi Note 3.But I will wait till other phone like Mi Max 3 and others to make debut for comparison . Every phone have it advantages and disadvantages no phone perfect in this world. Loyal to the brand is useless because they dont give us anything in return. I now there maybe a frustrated Redmi Note 5 Pro owner when they find out about this phone but they must accept the differences.

Also the ZMPM1 comes only with WLAN 802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz and not 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac that we have in RN5P.Is this a really bad thing? or it wouldn't make that much of a difference?

                                        Thank You!
