maybe a new N-gage to compete with all these gaming phones that are being released at the moment.

Aju23, 27 Apr 2018Hope the N series comes with quite AI features that is very... moreWhat AI.

ASUS is simply sticking with an older, broader definition and hoping the average consumer won't notice (or care about) the difference

ZenFone 5's ability to change its screen's color temperature in different situations. The same feature is called Truetone on Apple's most recent iPhones

there's no machine learning going on.

2nd AI feature that keeps the phone's screen on and unlocked while you're looking at it. If that sounds familiar, it's because Samsung Galaxy S phones have been doing that since the GS3. No machine learning involved here either.

Power Boost automatically manages the ZenFone 5's performance and provides an extra dose of oomph in certain intense situations. We've seen similar features in action in devices like Huawei's Mate 10 Pro, which leaned on an algorithm that was trained to help the phone understand how to best tweak performance over time.
          Again no machine learning involved.

Camera. After taking photos for between one and three weeks, the ZenFone will start to offer edited versions you might like.

What's the big deal phone as long as 4-5 Years did the same job. Again no machine learning involved.

In the camera is an intelligent-scene mode that interprets what's in the frame and fires up the correct scene mode.

What is this feature have to do with AI what is its connection to machine learning I have seen phones and point and shoot cameras before 10 years that could recognize the scene mode automatically and click pictures based on the mode.

All in all AI on phones is just a gimmick at least for now and for the foreseeable future.

Until we see a voice assistant like Sofie on phones that can learn it's users needs and wishes and work according to it.

There is no AI or machine learning involved.

It's just to fool naive customer into believing that they are innovating something new.

N-series will return? Now THAT'S something I would be interested in. The N series were so good for their time, giving you stuff that you simply couldn't get. I still miss the TV-outs, FM transmitters, and that sort of things. While I can see that their use is very limited (somethings were VERY useful)... That didn't make them any less legendary. I would love to see the legends returning.

I remember how in the end of 2010, I bought my N8. Gorgeous design. Adonized aluminum and one of the best AMOLED displays. With killing 20mp camera for that time. And FM transmitter. It was so durable phone. It was with only 256MB of RAM, but Symbian flies on it. Yes, there was bugs in the OS, but in general was amazing device.
Back in 2010 was possible to connect it to TV true HDMI port, to connect Bluetooth keyboard and mouse and to have a little PC.
                ALL THAT IN 2010.

Here we go, the worst Nokia "X" ever. That phone was with Android os, but without Play Store, how cool is that? Haha :)

oh we forget the App support issue :(
nah who cares? you don't play games nor down loading Apps on your phone you want notice the difference };$)
it turns out that is the only difference between a phone and a SMARTphone XP
EDIT oh my bad you were talking about symbian not MeeGo
any way they are both outdated just if Microsoft didn't buy Nokia it would of had more time to develop the symbian app support
maybe being in the same place as Apple ;) just saying
