Xiaomi raises Redmi Note 5 Pro and Mi LED TV 4 55" Indian prices to cover for higher taxes

The Redmi Note 5 Pro will sell for INR 1,000 more while the Mi LED TV 4 55" for INR 5,000 more.

This does not seam to be a price hike due to increase in import duty..
Because why only Redmi Note 5 Pro & Mi TV are costing more while there are other variants Redmi Note 5 Pro 6GB version is still costing the same.

This is mainly to cash in the High Demand for Redmi Note 5 Pro 4GB variant...

    Increasing tax doesn't going to motivate domestic manufacturing. Instead govt should use the extra tax money to incentivize local electronic manufacturers.

        Xiaomi should make PCB in India. That's what government wants to achieve through custom duty.

          This is just cheating by xiaomi. Some lucky customers paid rs 13999/-and unfortunate customers will be paying rs.14999/- Due to greediness by xiaomi. It is basically xiaomis responsibility to charge same/uniform price for all customers irrespective of whether pcbs are locally made or imported . Xiaomi must absorb price rise.

                      I think the ASUS Zenfone MAX PRO will have a upper hand over Redmi Note 5 PRO now, due the increase in prices. You get the same configuration with a better battery for 12999 only. This is more like a suicide for NOTE 5 PRO !!!!
