I can say for sure, if a consumer wanted to purchase a small tablet, then they are given this option and they will be more inclined to take it regardless of the price.

I am going to buy it first day it hits UK shops. I used samsung umpc 1 and 1.1 and now i have galaxy 7. these devices are extremily useful. I now use my mighty i7 desktop with 3 large screens only 20% of what it was before. the only problem with galaxy 7 is dead slow. so the new 7.7 must hit the right spot with 2 cores and amoled display for me.... not going into the details but i really wanted something like that and it actually happened! YAY!

TechnoFreak you keep saying this device is too big but that's just your opinion. It would be nice if you don't push your opinions on others. If it's too big for you then don't buy it. If that's not your intention though, then I'm sorry, but you sound like you are.

For me this will be the right size, and yes it will fit in my pocket just fine. I currently have the Infuse which is 4.5" and there's still some more room in my pocket. Even a PSP fits in some of my pockets, and this thing is smaller than a PSP.
I have to wonder what do people have in their pockets nowadays, that they keep saying that 4"+ phones are too big. I only have my phone in that pocket, and my wallet and keys on the other.. that's it.
Since my smartphone doubles as a portable media player, as long as I can carry them, bigger is better. Tablets actually don't fit in my pocket that's why they are out of the question for me.
And speaking of tablet availability, this 7.7 tablet isn't out yet anyways, so there's just no tablet for me until this tablet is released (no Super AMOLED, no buy).
That said, I still won't buy a tablet because I do not want to carry more than one secondary device, and the spot is reserved for PSVita.

I really like the size, I spend a lot of time reading on my phone and I found the dell streak to be almost perfect for that, I just didn't like the screen that dell used. I will probably be getting one of these when it is released. Also, the dell streak was actually quite pocketable.

i thort the ipone 2g had a masive screen at the time 07 with 3.5 then 4.2 Had me thinking can i put it in my pocket it was yes n then dell streek i was o my ... but its still gr8 (it was way to pricy n felt to cheap) carry it on your bellt or around your neck with a strap it is light use a hand bag (or a man bag if u have 2 cos common its lighter then a phone in the late 90s faster then a computer of the late 90s n photo editing is going to be be easy and fast n web browsing will be awesome all in 1 gadget

Finally N900's alternative - phone/tablet but with android and qwertyless.
I want a phone having screen size between 3.5 - 4.0 inches with qwerty + stylus inside (like SE g700 / g900 for note taking and camera protective cover with kick stand like Nokia N900) document editor. I am not a fanboy of any brand whichever manufacture makes such a phone I will buy. Os I prefer android, meego, wp7, ios, symbian or even bada is ok. Will such a phone ever come into existence after n900 ?
