06 May 2018
The LG G7 is late to the party, but did the company put together a compelling package that was worth the wait? Or is it just late?

The phone uses LCD not OLED. The notchy phone is not interested by LG fans.

It's a great phone and offers things others don't.....

The headphone jack and quad dac alone means it stand out, it runs the latest cpu abs gpu, nice waterproof design with micro sd slot, good screen, android 8 out of the box so project treble support, the wide angle camera makes a great versatile camera for example group photos with flash in dim lighting

I see a lot of hate here for lg but the lgv30 gets over 8 hours screen on time with no battery saving techniques, the lgv30 costs just 480 pounds for the 128gb version online and now you can buy the LG G7 with latest cpu and gpu for a bit more and it easily competes with other phones on the market and even offers things they don't like quad dac and wide angle camera

Good luck to LG I'm really happy with my lgv30 and will definitely want a phone with quad dac to replace it in the future because of how good it is

AnonD-510098, 06 May 2018Cold. P20 Pro is a better buy with a way better camera and... moreNot to mention the P20 Pro uses an OLED screen which is more power efficient than LCD. The display is pretty much the biggest battery drainer in a smartphone. Kirin 970 might not be as power-efficient as other SoCs but an still not as power draining as the display.

I want to say not due to battery in aspect to the size of the phone... but LG have me in their hand with wide angle camera as the only flagship with it I will watch them... depends how their new "software centre" goes. prove they can do software and ill stay especially if they keep failing and price crashing :P

I was quite keen on the P20 Pro but did the research and found that it is not quite as good as it is cracked up to be, the battery life is great but the camera whilst very good is not quite a Pixel 2 XL beater or a S9+ beater for that matter, issues with lag opening certain maps, especially GoogleMaps......GM is quite a fundamental one from my perspective as I do use it a lot......

                        oh yea one more thing,

LG needs to change their logo , honestly it looks very ugly ... Keep it LG two letters without that stupid LOGO.

Rex Tech, 06 May 20181.4k is too much.3.4k would be great 2.Samsung S9 and S9 p... more4k battery is not too much ,. 5K battery is too much and some phones come with 5K today.

as for the single speaker .. well I am waiting for 4 speakers phones to be standard lol ... let alone 2 speakers.

and I still think 128GB storage should be the minimum by today standards , and yes Samsung is wrong starting from 64GB in S9 and S9+ ...

                            Not even warm.

Already outdated on arrival, weak battery, same crappy LG launcher. Only redeeming quality is the DAC and the screen that goes up to 1000 nits. There are plenty of better phones at the same price range like the S9, XZ2, P20/P20 Pro.

AnonD-753959, 06 May 2018IPS can be as good as AMOLED if they choose expensive one. ... moreLet's not forget the LCD screen on LG is the ONLY one out there that can be bright up to 1000 nits confirmed by every youtuber.AMOLED is as bright as much or even dimmer.

2.Samsung S9 and S9 plus start at 64 Gb and 4gb ram.So does HTC U11+. Lg is simply copying Samsung. Also consider i am talking about phones with SD card option not the bad moves Huawei and Xiaomi do having 64 or 128 without sd card.
3.It has BoomBox techonology which is similar to Stereo speakers and it's the only flagship phone with this feature released in 2018 so far.

it's very hot.. there have every feature what we need ..

The phone is great in my opinion. It showed great quality on youtube reviews and i love that it has 1000 nits bright screen for only an LCD screen. It also has Boombox tech on the speakers which is like Stereo. The screen size seems bigger than the Samsung S9+ model. The wide angles lens are always more welcomed that the Monochrome lens nobody uses. There is also an FM radio, something we don't see on phones these days and a headphone jack.

There are few cons that i think it's worth mentioning:
-The camera lens apperature isn't f/1.5-2.4 but only 1.6-1.9.They just used the same camera from LG V30.
-No 256 Gb version with 6 Gb ram. Or it will be probably a model named LG G7 S Thinq
-Price more than Huawei P20 Pro.
