i am considering updating but after some ppl are saying that i wont be able to use tracking, im not sure if i should. some ppl say it doesnt work some ppl say it does. i hope this can be clarified.

can you explain what you mean by saying it doesnt 'follow' you, sorry i didnt understand that part.

I have an N95 and it took me less than a min to download and update the software in the phone; HOWEVER, there were no clear instructions on dowloading maps. You have to erase all the old maps and download the latest maploader software in order to view the maps on the phone (if you are not using any data).
TRACKING feature is NOT available on the new update. All the people who are saying ti is, I spent almost 6 hrs trying to figure out the tracking feature. The map DOES automatically pick up as you "move", BUT it does not FOLLOW you. So if you move out of your "current gps position", it wont automactially take you to the new place (but the tracking feature used to do it).
All in all, the software is fast and has more features but it lacks the tracking feature which was really useful for me. I do regret getting this new update because of that one feature.

I'm using it with my E60 w/o any problems. The issue that I have is that when I run application it does NOT detect maps that I already have on card - so if I have maps for 6 countries and wish to remove 2 and retain 4 - I can't do it. That's silly.

i dont no what all the fuss is about, the updated version is faster and you do still get the tracking feature

It works on N80 to those who were wondering. Try to install the E65 installation file.

ya when i upgrade my n95 from v11 to v12 it go's slower i do not know why ?

The application is great but the downside its an old map and a bit laggy on my N73ME. Other than that all are great and also i loved the route simulation with voice...cool.

navigable means it will show you the roper roads and routes that is it is more detailed

Alright guys!
Although this updated Nokia Maps is considered to be faster and better, it still wouldn't let you "track" your route in a Nokia N95 (the phone I have).
Many people are experiencing error messages after the update and this could only mean that the only way to fix it again is to flash this phone. Flashing is a highly complicated process using the Nokia Software Updater. For those who want a quick solution, press *#7370# and reset your phone. This will bring back the original default firmware from its ROM and your phone will be once again FULLY functional. ***MAKE SURE TO BACK UP USING NOKIA PC SUITE BEFORE RESETTING***

Any body havin problems downloading this software from nokia? i tried it last night and kept getting error messages tried updating from the original software and tried downloading from nokia website!

What does NAVIGABLE mean exactly?
It sas that 50 maps are navigable, I don't understand what it means.

it works on all n series model. it works gud on my n91...for n91, downlad the software of n73 ...
