AnonD-4697, 06 Sep 2011I see more future on Meego than WebOS even than BADA....More than WebOs YES , More than Bada NO , MeeGo no longer supported ( i know N9 is supported but not the OS itself ) Bada is supported by Samsung and made better results than WP7 which is impressive for a about one year old OS but for MeeGo it may make as good as bada results but with Nokia and Intel killing it there is no way MeeGo future is like Bada future
PS : I am talking about its future not its abilities i have a wave phone but of course haven't used a MeeGo
phone in my life so i can't judge its abilities now but i can judge its future from what manufacturers do

MeeGo is nice and you can use android apps on it but its no longer supported from any manufacturer N9 is the last Nokia's MeeGo and Intel was the last hit which will bring MeeGo down i am not of course saying its bad OS but it need support from any good manufacturer and for those who are saying Samsung may use it keep dreaming Samsung do already have 3 Os Android bada and WP7

Ashura, 06 Sep 2011Again it depends on your needs.I own 2 phones one for games... moreme too a die hard customization lover. a phone which cannot be customized is a log of wood which should be put in fire. havn't you used HD2? man you don't know what you are missing. it ported the latest sense 3.5 it's a never ending story. who cares about the vdo calling n e ways. btw, is xperia play a good phone? what else will it run rather than the games which are run by other droids? gameloft gamming right? is there any thing special? well i don't know.

jacktackle, 06 Sep 2011YOU mean to say, there is something in the market that is b... moreAgain it depends on your needs.I own 2 phones one for games,internet etc(Xperia PLAY) and al ow range one for calls and texting.Altough i have not use dthe latest Symbian and IOS and Blackberry OS i liked Android more because it suited my needs more(I am a very big fan of complete costumization)

HD2 already made forums for meego :P now awaiting release of N9 and within a month, the ROM is on HD2. and if the SDK is released, than probably HD2 might run N9 software on HD2 b4 the release of N9 :)

Even though it does not have much developers right now... The general consensus is very positive amongst devs.. The hacking community I imagine are just waiting to get their hands on this (if they haven't already). I'm guessing too that you haven't heard of Alien Davlik which is a VM that allows Meego to use Android apps natively right out the gate..(With absolutely NO PERFORMANCE LOSS)
Meego is much better than you think is.. Again.. It has to do with the fact that it has a lot technical depth and room for diversification and growth..
And it has a simplistic/ingenious presentation that will not alienate even the most conservative tech users out there..
Devs/Hacking/Tech community already have a lot of confidence in Meego from a purely technical standpoint.
All Meego needs is a manufacturer confident enough to put money behind it.. Once that happens, a new bandwagon will be created..
My only issue is whether it will be marketed as a competing OS free for public access or if it will be locked down by a particular manufacturer/company..
Needless to say.. It probably will be very impactful either way...

Anonymous, 06 Sep 2011have you owned any android handset other than nokia?.if so ... more:) every one was a nokia fan boy until Android hit the market. and one's who is on a droid, cannot think any thing but droid. and if you have an HD2 than you think nothing but your mobile :P try every new ROM and every new OS. HD2 is the father of all phones :)

I don't what people has found in Android! Its multi tasking interface is terrible compared to what I found in WebOS. Overall interface is ok but not great. Only thing I found great about Android is Google paid a lot of money to the manufacturers to carry their OS. IOS is way better.

i have apple iphone 4g,in my view it is avery bad cell,because it has no call recorder noradobe flash player,nor it can share bluetooth with other cell phones like nokia etc ,in my view nokia is best cell phone for every need

Each have it's own good and bad sides, and I do not like g. spying on everything I do including my desktop and work, so I give that part to someone else, so if it is symbian, ok, better than mr. g.
