This gaming smartphone market is just stupid. I mean what else can you add in a phone apart from top level SOC and ample of RAM. One would be much better off with an another well rounded phone with the same stuff like OnePlus,S9 etc.

Nzi97, 11 May 2018Nope, oled is a bad idea for gaming, every gamer know that,... moreOh yeah. IPS LCD will be a good choice. (If accuracy is more favourable on most consumers)

"games such as PUBG Mobile will become more frequent and will require more raw power"
Yeah, right ... one game (PUBG) will somehow change the fact that 99,99% of iOS and Android games are "toilet time" games, that can run on and Cortex A7 SOC.
Right ...
Since we have no great games on mobile platforms and not a good way to control them, this won't change for a long time.

If it has physical buttons on the sides, sign me up. I’m not completely satisfied with MIUI to go all in for a Black Shark. What kills me in Xiaomi are two things, MIUI has no multi-user like genuine Android, something that Asus have. And Xiaomi camera is very bad compared to Asus. Asus cameras are the most underrated stuff ever, everyone hates it, but professionals love it cuz raw photo with huge numbers of pixels are great for edit.

Shui8, 11 May 2018Well this is interesting! Asus ROG very popular among deskt... moreI wish Sony should bring back the Xperia Play with DualShock capabilities, Deep Bass, and unmatchable performance which recent Xperias would really step up the game.

Another "gaming" smartphone.
Let me guess... Competing against Xiaomi's Black Shark?
If only they could manage an OLED display and bigger battery for true gaming and efficiency experience.
