16 May 2018

You've got to live in some broken bizarro world if you think not-getting-updates on your $7-800 phone is a good thing. Are Chinese users really so brainwashed into accepting non-existent customer service that they're upset when they get it?

Yay, for being on the worst service network provider in the world (Three mobile)! We will probably not see an Oreo update until late summer. I would however not be surprised if they push out this buggy one despite of that. :)

And that's why this will be my last Samsung phone. My S7 got even worse battery backup after the april's security patch even though it's still on Nougat. Many thanks to Samsung. I'll be looking forward for future flagships from OnePlus, Nokia or the Google Pixel. Good bye, Samsung.

They should stick to the Android major release the phone comes with. You want an upgrade? Buy a new Samsung smartphone. That's the only way.
Just stop trying it Samsung! Just stop giving out deadlines 100% wrong every damn time.
The Samsung Android distributions are so heavily modded with their crap that even THEM are unable to make a major upgrade.
            This is embarassing!

Geric.770, 16 May 2018I'm triggered by these Fanboys trying to defend their compa... moreMeh, people can defend the brand that they like I don´t have a problem with that (post purchase rationalisation and all..). But it annoys me when people leave uninformed comments about how the brand they support is the best and anyone who supports a different one (e.g. Samsung) is an "idiot" or "stupid".

Like, as soon as an article is posted about bugs for a phone or brand, it´s becomes an opportunity for everyone to insult anyone who owns it, as if no other phone model has ever experienced bugs before. Sure it´s fine to criticise but arguing over who has the best phone seems kinda pointless to me, it´s all down to personal opinion and preference.

Upwards of six months and they still cannot get it right, and after Android P has gone to offical Beta too. Thanks heavens my S8+ has been fine but it could just well have been the S8 or S8+. In fact they did have to temporarily stop the S8+ OTA rollout temporarily now I recall. Pretty appaling really.

A small number of issues? I work in a phone network retail store and last week alone i had at least 2 dozen S7/S7 Edges in. I think this issue is affecting a much larger number than Samsung are letting on.

                          Sorry about these people.

More often I´m seeing the comments section getting filled with remarks like ´Crapsung, Shamsung, Crapple´ etc. instead of people actually writing anything worth reading or constructive. Am I the only one that finds it childish and annoying?

And people were saying that they'd rather wait for a stable and reliable update, that's not the case.
Samsung and updates, that's definitely not good...

The problem is either from performing a "dirty" update instead of a clean one, either from all those hundreds of "features" we call pure bloatware..
