Where is the 8" tablet?
Why samsung is ignoring the 3:4 aspect ratio?
And why samsung stop putting the s-pen inside the device Same as Tab A 8.0 with s-pen (SM-P355)?
And for those people who like to have bigger s-pen simply they should buye the s-pen from tab s3 as a spare part
In this way everybody is having the best of both worlds

And again, the $330 iPad is a joke. Add a pencil, and non-laughable storage, and tadah! now you're paying $528 for a crappy 2GB, LCD tablet.
Typical Apple bullshit.

Cause, again, the S3 was sold last year at 600 dollars. $50 less than the ipad pro 10.5"
At that price the ipad was and still is a much better deal.
Im not gonna enter the discussion about if 2GB of RAM will be suffice for iOS in a couple of years cause i dont know the future.
Currently, an ipad air 2 from 2014 still runs quite well. BUT, that was a flagship; the 2018 is not, and if android support for flagships is barely decent i cant imagine a mid ranger tablet with Oreo and measure performance degradation after a couple of updates (if updated at all).

Amoled, expandable storage, the stylus, and 4GBs of RAM are all things that have a far bigger impact on what I want from a tablet on a day to day basis. Not to mention not being limited to silly cloud connections or worse, iTunes, just to transfer crap back and forth.
Conformism is saying that a tablet with non laminated LCD display, 2GB of RAM, 32 GB of non-expandable storage, and a pencil that needs to be bought separately for an extra £100 is a better deal.
Apple are not idiots. They know that the 2GBs of RAM will make the new iPad run like a dog in two years time. So you can pony up £700+ for the iPad Pro with proper RAM now or buy a new iPad then. Your choice.

I can't wait for this to replace my tab s2.
Once you go AMOLED, you can't turn back.
The screen is the most important thing in a tablet.
The 835 and 4gb will ensure this will be blazing fast forever!
Apple is a no option for me, because i actually use my tablet and can't stand all those compromises that eventually suffocate you (no flash player, no streams, no subtitles on films, no customizing icons according to my needs, being such a Hussle to use my PDFs and music etc etc...)
This screen will improve my ppi score in retina level, prolly HDR too!
I bet it will have better sound quality too and let me enjoy movies as never before!
I will favor this over a new phone!

Anonymous, 17 May 2018Yea... Not buying apple, locked down OS, nonstandard connec... moreThis kind of comment is really a gem, but I’ll bite.
What is a ‘locked down’ OS to you? Is it an OS where you can’t use 3rd party launchers and icons, and where you can’t install cracked apps without jailbreaking your device, thus voiding the device’s warranty? If this is true, then good luck finding an avanced OS that is secure, has a polished UI that offers a consistent experience, offers smart features that do not invade your privacy, and is deeply integrated with a range of other devices.
Nonstandard connectors? There is no standard. If you are using apple devices, that’s your standard. If you are using usb-c, that’s your standard. If you are still using micro-usb, that’s your standard.
Expandable storage? You can’t expect a device to have top-notch performance while it has data stored on slow and unreliable microSD cards. Besides, you can just buy a device with a bigger storage capacity for which you know you are getting the best performance and data safety. Plus there are tons of cloud storage options for the price of a burger a month, in case you need your data accessible on all your devices.
Intentional slowing down old hardware? This is entirely not true. Phones with old, underperforming batteries, which would shut down because the batteries’ lives were over or almost over (normal wear out) were slowed down in order to avoid those restarts, data corruption, and component damage. Everyone knows a two-three-four-etc years old battery will be very weak in terms of voltage and capacity. If an old battery still offers decent performance, there will be no limits imposed on the hardware. If it’s old and underperforming, just get a replacement battery. Same as a weak battery will have trouble starting your diesel engine in the winter.
Either way, even if those mentions were actual cons, the benefits that iPads bring to the table far outweigh these and everything an Android tablet can offer. Not to mention all the security holes, spyware compatibility, dropping performance, lack of quality apps, and malware present in the playstore, which make Android a non-option if you plan on doing any online shopping, making payments, logging in to your social networks, storing any personal data, or communicating with other people. Basically anything related to your real life is potentially leaked through spyware apps or viruses you can so randomly get on Android devices by just visiting random websites. That’s what an ‘open system’ offers: the means for hackers to easily deploy malware on your device and easily collect your data, bank details, and get full control of your device.

Anonymous, 17 May 2018Yea... Not buying apple, locked down OS, nonstandard connec... moreI hate Apple and iOS.
With that said, the $329 iPad is my best device for the price.
For this price, absolutely no one can even come near in terms of performance and stability.
iOS 11 sucks. All right. It is locked down. Okay. But there are many workarounds you can actually use to make it almost as free as Android. Try to look for TutuApp, iTransmission, there are many office suits, some professional apps for work.
File transfer? Wireless transfer is easy, many apps do that, between iOS w10 mac etc.
It is annoying and iOS 11 is kinda buggy, but i think in the end all things considered, plus the performance for games. Nothing can beat a $329 iPad. For this price, nothing.

The iPad has a much better OS, app selection, performance, and integration with other devices. Most professional tablet apps (photo editing, video editing, music creators and editors, graphic design, note taking, etc.) are exclusive to iPad and even when they can be found on both iOS and Android, they still have more features in iOS, more updates and are better designed for the iPad. Superior hardware, superior apps.
On top of that, iOS works better on 2GB of RAM than Android ever does on 4GB. That is a fact. (can be checked on youtube and all over the internet)
Bottom line is... if you do the exact same things on both an iPad and on an Android tablet, the iPad will always perform flawlessly, whereas Android tables will struggle, stutter, get frame drops, redraw the homescreen, force close apps, etc, etc.
If you fill an Android tablet's storage so much that there's less than 4-6GB of storage available, you will barely be able to browse the web on that thing. It will just lag and be slow all over the place.
So if you like everything working as it says on paper, get an iPad. Same with phones, if you like everything to run as advertised, get an iPhone.
Whereas if you don't mind the lack of apps, the random lag and homescreen redraw, and you turn a blind eye to user interface glitches, then get an Android tablet. (or phone)
I can say all of these after owning:
- Galaxy Tab 10.1
- iPad 2
- Galaxy Tab Pro (2014)
- iPad Air
- Xiaomi Mi Pad
- Galaxy Tab S3
- iPad 2018
- iPad Pro 12.9 (2nd gen)
I buy a new tablet every year or so, and give the older one to my kid.
And ever since I started buying tablets (I use a tablet 90% of the time instead of a laptop) the trend was that the Android tablets would be ok the first month, then start glitching the second month, then as time went on, more and more glitches and bugs and annoying things like bad Android UI implementation for large screens, no updates, etc.
All while the iPads performed consistently over the course of 2 years which they would stay in use in my family.
All in all, Android tablets are subpar when compared to iPads. Even though I don't want it to be this way, this is the current status of tablets. Who knows... maybe Android will improve in the future and will be more than just a toy. Who knows...
