OMG! Nokia's Android killer lineup has been delayed. This isn't good but being Nokia's number 1 fan, I'll spin it as Nokia taking its time to perfect their Android slayers. That's right, Nokia is taking its time so the SeaRay will be perfect and will compete against the likes of SGS 3 next year. The SeaRay may be a 1 GHz single core phone but it's so optimized, it performs like a quad-core. The SGS 3 will be in trouble next year as it will go head to head against Nokia's powerhouse, the Sea Ray.

GO NOKIA! GO!

Nokia has loose grown of "exclusivity" an credibility, too bad, looks like LG, Samsung and HTC will have first WP7 devices (and good ones by the way)

Anyway I will get better an Samsung Focus S than Nokia, If Nokia changes their mind every time they want I will not wait for their line up....Sorry!

But then again maybe its because they don't want it to compete with N9's release this year. Or perhaps somebody inside sabotage the WP7 to give way for more meego and symbian phone!!!! :>

Nokia has teased its “Sea Ray” prototype, which is expected to be one of the first of its Windows Phone devices, expected to become available from _October_.

Also, am I the only one who is slightly confused by this whole "Windows 7 Phone" / "Windows Phone 7" terminology?

I mean ffs it makes me think they put a real Windows 7 (as in what computers use) on a phone (which has been done before). But the linked to site seems to hint towards a sort of Windows Mobile

So, what the hell are they releasing again?

Guys the news comes from Nokia Australia so that means that for us here in Aus it will come in Q1 2012 as we always get things last here.

We still have not gotten the ANNA update for Symbian 3 and Nokia Australia will not tell us when it will come out here even.

N9 specs for a WP7 is ok now, today, but will be very outdated early next year! Nokia could have used their time and resources better if they focused all their efforts on developing MeeGo, WP7 is simply developed to slow to ever have any chance against Android!

                            Hello,
it's bad news indeed, but i kept asking myself for awhile why NOKIA is considering WP7? ... well in the beginning i was crazy about WP7 even i don't own one device i love it the idea and the new changes they made but after seeing the device with friend of mine HD7 and i had the chance to use it for awhile on daily basis i had change in heart because honestly the UI is looks nice but if got use to Android and the widgets idea instantly you will miss it i have heard so much about the WP7 Market but never had the chance to test it because it's not supported in Saudi Arabia but the idea that the apps are not like Android most of it for free in WP7 mostly paid apps... which doesn't make huge difference for me but UI was huge turn over

i hope NOKIA will have their own idea of customizing the WP7 and bring something unique to the consumers

                                    Ouch, ouch, OUCH!
If this is true, this really could spell the death of Nokia...
If they do release a below-spec Win7 before Xmas, they'll be crucified by consumers...
Primarily, because many people will buy it (just because of the brand) and I suspect they'll be really disappointed (like many who bought N8)
I honestly can't understand, like many people why it's taking so long... surely they've been working on this for almost a year now?
It will be a shame to see such a once mighty company go under...
But you can only blame the people at the top for a) some god-awful decisions, like going for W7 and b) resting on their laurels for so long...
                                    R.I.P. Nokia...
Maybe once M$ buy them out completely and re-brand, etc. we'll see them again one day...

I was minimum hoping for a good fight among sammy, htc, apple and nokia but nokia has taken back its name and now they want to fight with micromax which has recently released a dual core phone...

well another thing is now they rumord to release their first phone in q1 and then they will suddenly release one in dec. and we will listen "nokia released their phone before time...cool
