Samsung Galaxy A3 (2017) plagued by reboots and bootloops after Oreo update

30 May 2018
Curiously, some reboots are happening after connecting to specific WiFi networks, like Eduroam in Europe.

So you think they´re not comparable because they are made by different companies and "each have their own idea"...

Either you don´t understand what I´m trying to say or you don´t understand what comparable means.

They even have the same OS, how are they not comparable?...

I updated my one year old A3 2017 with the russian version (SER) via odin (there is no OTA available in my country yet) a couple of weeks ago and since then my phone works perfectly, no lag, no reboot or any problem. Battery life is quite the same in my opinion. I only used wifi 2 or 3 times so can`t provide any feedback. (50+ GB data plan :D)

S8 had wifi problems (exclamation mark) prior to Oreo update.
Samsung did not solve it up to now.
They seem to have a serious hardware issue sweepped under the rug.

If you want faster updates and stable interface that don't lag don't hang and don't bootloop just go for Nokia or Sony. Samsung is full of problems.

Since Oreo update in South Africa a few days ago the my A3 2017 hs become very laggy. Its struggling to switch between apps while takes a few seconds. Attaching pics or videos takes longer than that. The phone hangs ( gets stuck) but does NOT reboot. Seems like its running out ram maybe.

Samsung is the last one to update their devices and when it does, they're full of bugs and glitches.
Oneplus is one of the first to update their devices and they're flawless...
One might ask if it's worth paying for such an expensive device if cheaper ones are as good if not better...

                                    LG loyalist, I say?
Yeah like my aunt, but she left the LG world after LG G5 and switched to Vivo for cheaper reasons or just LG is dying on the hardware department.
But, if we are talking the best LG phone released until now, I gonna pick to the LG V20.
                                    Reasons:
Removable battery, dual unique cameras, no bootloop issues (until now I didn't hear on this unit), and a monster media phone because of Quad DAC, IP68, and MIL STD 810G.

That's why you don't update right away and wait if it's safe.

Didnt expect so many complain about A3(2017). Though this comment section over generalising the bootloop problem to all the Galaxy phone that getting Oreo update. No, its not. Lets make it clear that the ONLY affected device is Galaxy A3 (2017). Nothing else. So, hope you all truly own the phone and not just simply here for the sake of joining the complaining session. You know why? Because it is very rare for people to own a 4.7" screen device nowadays. Everyone here sound more like they holding grudge against Samsung rather than having real problem with their current phone which is not even a Galaxy A3.
