03 June 2018
As expected, some are still not happy about the 3.5 mm jack situation, but many have already bought a U12+.

I don't know why people are so excited about AMOLED screens. Most of them that I have seen have had burned in screens even the Samsung S8, the menu mostly.

Really like HTC for sticking with LCD.

Seems like the trend is consentrating on screen size and density. I wonder when phone makers start putting more attention to the speakers? Really like the M9 stereo speakers.

Good luck if HTC pretend sell the phone at that price. I can't see any reason to buy this phone above cheaper alternatives with more features and high quality too. Even the look is too generic for such a high price.

Whackcar, 03 Jun 2018Let the tell you why phones like these get bashed on GSMAre... moreNot to mention everybody says, " OH just get a Xiaomi, you don't need what the flagships are giving for the ridiculous price of a couple hundred dollars!" Seriously people, we are better than this. You can't just dismiss a device without trying it. Each phone is made for a specific demographic.

42 percent the half is a samsung, apple people

Solid and beautiful and the reviews i have been watching are great. I am still rocking HTC A9 in our business and love the feel of the zippy daily driver so it is with interest to see a tough, smart looking flagship

Shanti Dope, 03 Jun 2018Because they are still fighting and can still do good thing... moreAgreed
HTC started the dual camera hype.
HTC started the BoomBox dual stereo speakers.
HTC started the best earbuds included on flagships.
And, HTC started this liquid finish back design and the very unique translucent cover. :)

Anonymous, 03 Jun 2018Haha, why is this company not dead yet?Because they are still fighting and can still do good things.
Besides, why are you interested to know?? Are you wishing for their complete death??
You know, that wish won't really make the world better, rather makes it even worse, as there will be one less competitor in the world to urge others to also move forward.

I tell you what, you're going to miss something unique as such as HTC devices once they leave and most smartphones started looking exactly the same as each other.

Like the U12 but no wireless charging+no headphone jack??? Makes it hard for me to consider it.

Would you buy an HTC U12+ ?
                              No.

                              Why?
Expensive. No front-firing stereo loudspeakers. Too fragile. No 3.5mm aux port. Lower battery capacity than expected. Questionable design and build. Too tall. Still using LCD display. Quite poor software support. Less accessories than iPhone/Galaxy. And lastly it has interference from carriers in the hardware/software to make a bloated unwanted confusing variants.

If I wanted something that shiny, I'd stick to an iPhone X or a Nokia 8 Sirocco. But probably better to grab a Samsung S9+, or a masculine S9 Active if they ever release it for worldwide. Heck, I'd even settle for a ZTE Axon 9 or OnePlus 7 (No notch, No rear-glass, All ports).

I am with others in terms of 3.5mm jack, I really wont buy a phone without one, but i really wont buy amoleds eather, three of my friends have amoleds(s7 and s8 and galaxy a7 2017) and all of them have shadows in upper part due to exessive use of whats app that the upper bar is solid) something i wont buy as of knowing that. So what i want is a solid phone with with 3.5mm with good LCD(hopefully in near future micro lcd) that does not run too warm.

Let the tell you why phones like these get bashed on GSMArena. It's because this site has a majority of Crapple & Samsunk fanboys. That's the reason you'll see any other brand getting bashed. Truth is, any brand is better than those two pathetic overrated brands. Fact!

And now the same fanboys are gonna attempt to bash me for mentioning the facts. Haha

U12+ is a great phone but its too expensive for HTC
