Merwyn Fernandes, 04 Jun 2018Lol Foxconn is Apples OEM.
This made me believe that you... moreYes Foxconn does have its own OEMS like Sharp which it purchased recently and Infocus.
Does that not make Foxconn an ODM? . And you question my tech knowledge... Infocus is Foxconn's homegrown brand so I am pretty sure they are an ODM..
Also if displaygate, bendgate, antennagate and few more gates are what you get by paying foxconn more, then I would rather pay them less. As if the workers are not underpaid enough....

Anonymous, 04 Jun 2018ODM stands for orignal design manufacturer. Pretty sure fox... moreLol Foxconn is Apples OEM.
This made me believe that you don't know anything about tech.
Firstly An Original Device Manufacturer is a Contract Company that Manufactures Phones as per the specification , Design and Quality Requested by the Vendor.
OEMS are the brands that design the product and send it to the ODM for manufacturing on contract as per their quality specification.
Both Nokia and Apple are OEMS they design their own phones and get them manufactured by Foxconn (Which originally manufactured it ) And later add their brand and sell it.
So what is the difference between products manufactured in a same factory Two vendors have different quality standards and Price range.
Apple and Nokia want quality and are ready to pay more to Foxconn to get that quality , Xiaomi on the other sides Sells cheap phones so they have to get it manufactured for cheap for which they cut on quality.
Yes Foxconn does have its own OEMS like Sharp which it purchased recently and Infocus.
LMAO.

Merwyn Fernandes, 04 Jun 2018Because Foxconn is an ODM I guess you need to research what... moreI know what an ODM is, by telling names of 10 ODMs won't change that. My point is if Nokia/HMD is so premium according to you, why get its phone made in same factories as those cheap chinese devices? Why does a chinese ODM have a say in the way in which phone is made? Also foxconn is both ODM and OEM please do your research properly next time.

I bet that the SD710 will be the new 625 in terms of popularity among phone manufacturers, like how Xiaomi used the 625 in almost all their budget mobile phones.

Anonymous, 04 Jun 2018On 18 May 2016, Microsoft Mobile announced the sale of its ... moreBecause Foxconn is an ODM I guess you need to research what an ODM is.
Their Main Business is Making phones and Other Electronic Products for OEMS thats how they earn money , That's their Business.
The problem is you know only Foxconn and don't know about Flex ,Jabil , Plexus , Pegatron , Quanta Computer , Compal Electronics , Wistron , Inventec, Lite-On Technology, Cal-Comp Electronics & Communications ,Qisda Corporation ,MiTAC Holdings ,Wistron NeWeb all of them are ODMs they Manufacture Electronics for Other Companies on contracts.
Foxconn manufactures electronic products for Acer Inc, Amazon ,Apple Inc, BlackBerry ,Cisco ,Dell ,Google ,Hewlett-Packard ,Huawei, InFocus , Intel ,Microsoft Corp, Motorola Mobility, Nintendo ,HMD Global , Sony ,Toshiba ,Vizio, Xiaomi.
According to Your Conspiracy theory all these brands are owned by foxconn.
On 18 May 2016, Microsoft Mobile announced the sale of its feature phone business to HMD Global and FIH Mobile
Yeah Those were two separate deals the Mobile Phone Tablet License was given to HMD global for 10 years only after which it would return to Nokia Corp.
And the Factories that Microsoft owned were sold to FIH mobile. So its obvious that all the old Nokia Factories which Microsoft had taken over were sold to FIH Mobile.
Also HMD Being a Startup and only having the rights to use Nokia branding for 10 years didn't want to invest in Building factories and investing on labour hence It was agreed that HMD products would be manufactured in the FIH/Foxconn factories like any of the other 100s of companies that Foxconn manufactures for.
So again I am asking you how does Foxconn Own Nokia (HMD Global).
FYKI even HMD doesn't own Nokia its just a licence to use the name for 10 years.
LMAO.

The sale included design rights, and its rights to use Nokia brand on all types of mobile phones and tablets worldwide until 2024. A humble request to search for FIH mobile please. Also why have foxconn (A chinese cheap company according to you) make phones for them? Didn't Nokia have their own factories back in the day? Aren't they with foxconn? If all Nokia phones are made in china, then you should hate them without any reason too, right?

Fun fact: That DualShock feature from PlayStations and finally arrived on the XZ2 is my favourite of them all. Imagine playing my legendary game of all time, Asphalt 8: Airborne, while playing on that device!

(I don't agree with the XZ2 and XZ2 Compact removing the headphone jack when Sony's claim to fame before Playstation and the Xperia line was their wired sound). But after I read from notebookcheck the XA2 Ultra virtually doesn't throttle, I was like..."that means they're getting the highest possible performance out of the chip..." Granted, cooling a SD 630 should be easy, but that extra attention to that possibility is awesome.

Techfan21, 03 Jun 2018can it beat the 821 or the 835 though?
Since the 835 was manufactured on a 10nm process, it is "currently" the best midrange processor you can get. There were fewer heating issues and throttling issues with it when compared to the 820, 810, and 808 respectively. While some phones with the 835 did have issues with throttling and heat, they weren't as terrible as devices with the 821, 820, 810 and 808. The 700 series processors will come after that, and then the 660. The 660 is actually comparable to the 820 and 821 while being more battery efficient. That's what people don't understand about the "buy an 800 series processor argument" because the Snapdragon 800 series, until the 821 was notorious for heating issues. Also consider, some OEMS did not invest in heating with these 800 series chips. Both the S8+ and Note 8 have the 835, but over sustained load throttled aggressively which led to stutters and other issues in demanding tasks per notebookcheck. Anyone remember the Priv and the issues with the 808? Sure the 810 was a bit better, but it had heat and throttling issues too. I own a Nexus 6p and can tell you that. So yes, you shouldn't automatically buy last year's flagship. You should do your homework...check notebookcheck reviews that test sustained performance over load and make your decision. You should also consider what you're going to be doing with the phone. For general tasks (Twitter, FB, calls, texts, an occasional picture), you could pick up a phone with a SD 630 or 636 and be just fine. Also recall, Qualcomm has a SD 640 in tow that is manufactured on a 10nm process, which means you will get better performance than the 630 or 636, which both still use 14nm (636 is different b/c it uses Kyro cores). That 640 to me, means people who don't want to spend a lot on a phone won't have to.
That being said, check notebookcheck and other sites that examine sustained performance, check the price and happy buying! Your best option may be a phone with a SD 835 or an 821, or even a 636 or 630. Depends on user need

A mid range pixel will bring TRUE android experience to the masses. While Android One program is great it's nowhere near the level of great a Google Pixel is, a sub 400$ device from google with updated design and the software perfected to match the 2019 release date will be awesome. Can't wait... seriously, i mean what the hell am I supposed to do with this raging boner for the next 7 to 9 months?
