Bought a Macbook Pro this spring. Some Snow Leopard bugs were very serious for me (samba is crap) so I "upgraded" to Lion. Bad move; much more buggy, crashing all the time... For that price I expected stability, they have a known hardware base, right?
Not buying any Apple products again. I'm happy with Android phone, too.

Well the problem with Apple is once you use their products you've sold your soul. You are tied to the system via I-tunes and anyhting else you have. LEave the platform you lose anything you've invested in - albums, music etc. And any accessory is useless with anything but apple.

I for one am bursting with excitement waiting for the next iPhone launch. I am also glad that I have not limited myself to any particular brand and then forced to fight strangers, when even the companies have not asked me too.

Transferring data is very easy... iTunes ties into microsoft outlook or addresses (or contacts on mac), and you just point the new phone software to the same place (samsung kies for example)... Apple have made a universal which is easy to use... They have also made it good looking and have the best marketing team in the whole business, its not surprise that Apple is top...

I sell galaxy s2's all the time and you must have had an especially bad experience because in terms of customer retention and ongoing faults they are our most reliable phone by quite a way, and before you call me an i hater i am an i phone 4 user (not for much longer) i just have one question: DID ANYONE HERE TAKE INTO ACCOUNT THE FACT THAT APPLE MAKE THEMSELVES DIFFICULT TO LEAVE?? Oh so you want to leave apple huh? well i hope you are prepared to loose ALL your information saved on your current handset!!!! This is a survey of how many people by the way?? I promise you if you make a handset that does its job and is an absolute pain to switch away from you will keep alot of customers too!!!! Apple are definately smart with what they do but what they do is not even close to the best!!!

I have iphone 4 and i m going to buy a iphone 5 as soon as possible when it launch...
Iphone is the best phone because it has the ios operating system which is far far better than android...
there is an single apple iphone against many android phone but still apple is the best

I own an iPhone 4 :) I've been using it since apple began to sell it :) It has ups and downs but I will never change it for anything else... I've tried Glaxy s 2, yes it has better hardware... but the software is awful... especially the youtube player... :) Can't wait for next gen iPhone, gonna get that and gift this phone to my brother :)

People who bought an iPhone have spent a lot of money on it. They would feel stupid saying that they bought the wrong phone...
This is the reason why the results are so biased.

The problem is when comparing OSs or phone models. Android is definitely the majority OS. As a phone model, iPhone sales are much stronger than any other single model.

As for other parts of the world, Apple is far from dominating (like Europe).
Australia however has one of the highest iPhone penetrations in the world, and we are one of the leading countries when it comes to Mobile usage.
In Australia, people love using iPhone because most services have been optimised for it. It's not just about the phone, but where you can apply it.

My network (Vodafone) is crap, so 3G is often very slow, but that's not an iPhone problem.
My reception and call quality are as good as with any phone, and I've had SHARPs, Nokias, etc.
Usability on an iPhone and general customer experience is fantastic, and as the survey showed, that's why people continue to buy an iPhone.
Is it a trendy phone to own, and somewhat of a status symbol? I wouldn't call it "status", but definitely trendy.
