Just like Nokia to launch another tasteless brick phone, no innovative design, just make it rectangular so it can fill your pocket just right.

In spite of the high price, we all know it will be a success. Not to mention the significant amount of people who are willing to buy it knowing the device will not be available in their countries.
Besides, as the hand moves on the quartz, prices will drop and drop, so even more costumers will be able to buy this gorgeous piece of technology!

I think nokia decided to over price this phone to kill it and leave the way open for wp7
and I think that will make nokia lose both as it's not the only company selling phones
nokia should sell what people want not what it wants

MeeGo follow WebOS? It is rather WebOS that followed MeeGo and it's Symbian brethren... Remember Nokia abandoned MeeGo long before HP decided to drop WebOS... shesh writers these days just shoot without bullets loaded... In the end there can only be IOS, Android and maybe Windows...

everything form nokia is overpriced these days. For this cost you can buy phones or tablets twice as powerful as this slab and even with android soon to be ice-cream or windows soon to be windows 8.And i guarantee both platforms will be better than meego

Just ordered mine in Cagayan at 32,000 Peso. Expected in 3 weeks!
My friend in Manila quoted extra 3,000, same delivery time.
Seems I got good deal, so happy. Christmas comes early for us!

EskeRahn, 27 Sep 2011Well the MS Trojan horse Mr Elop insist on securing the N9 ... moreYeah, overpricing it and also not offering it "officially" on major markets (UK, US, CA).
I don't think the price is THAT high, since the phone seems to be THAT awesome. The issue is that it won't sell in the MOST important market (US).

Eflop is never going to make Meego a success.. price is to high, availability is very bad, its the only Meego phone out there and it will stay that way. If Alien Dalvik isn't coming out soon I wont be buying one. I really hope another manufacturer will take where Nokia left of and make an N950 alternative, maybe I'm wishful thinking but this is the best OS with the best hardware. I really hope Nokia will rethink there decision and make Meego there alternative OS.

AnonD-19340, 27 Sep 2011Is this going to be available in India too?N9 wont be carrier subsidised because quantities produced are so small that there will be not enough for everyone for even at normal retail price.

Well the MS Trojan horse Mr Elop insist on securing the N9 not being a success! And a good way to ensure that is by overpricing it. Then they can say "You see, we told you, no one will buy this. Buy our Windows-crap instead"

N9 is very good in hardware and very good OS. QT helps a lot for developers to build faster their apps (and cheaper). The price, as is mentioned by GSM.A. it is a real problem.
I can't understand, if Nokia will not support this platform (maybe other companies will?!) and doesn't come with new MeeGo phones, why so much advertisements and so on? is that all in some agreement between Intel and Nokia, and when all "points" of that agreement will be fulfilled, MeeGo will be totally forgotten?!
