OnePlus must give updates for Oneplus 2 model.
If OnePlus keep giving updates for Oneplus 3 then why not for Oneplus 2?
It's totally unfair with OnePlus 2 users.
So please give update including android version for Oneplus 2 model.

Im a proud owner of Oneplus 3t and things are still getting better.
After 2 years, this device is still at its peak. Running Oreo 8.0, 170000 Antutu score, wich is higher that it was on Nougat last year. Battery stll lasts a whole day + some more.
Still the same lagfree experience and still getting software and security updates. Kudos to Oneplus for showing serious attitude towards their customers, theirs products and the most important, the Oxygen OS is still getting better and better!

"Nokia" is just the commercial name that HMD appeals in order to re-capture the ol' and nostalgic loyal users of Nokia/Lumia... it doesn't matter if HQ are based in finnish mainland or not; the financial investors are from China - Not that's anything wrong with it though... But this "Nokia" has nothing to do with what it once was... and, sadly, never ever will be -

So you want to get Google security patch a month out of date. Alright, not like you use your phone for important things.

I can always flash a custom ROM... or just sell it after 2 years of usage.

Good move, but we have to wait and see if it will actually happen.
One plus might bail out anytime they want.

This statement means nothing. OnePlus is using its own Oxygen OS and, if company decides not to make new OS version based on new Android, the promise is not broken as there is nothing to release to users. "We will deliver OS version updates, if we will make any."
As a 3T user I also don't believe that I will receive 8.1. Last OS update was in spring 2018, but still based on 8.0 nevertheless the 8.1 was released already in December 2017.

What's the point of having 2+1 years of update if they can't even fixed the camera issues in 3/3T. No wonder Sultanxda jumped to Pixels 2 XL and vows not to buy any OnePlus phone ever again as they refuse to fixed camera issues that Sultanxda have mention time and time again.

No point updating anything after Oxygen OS 5.0.1 post march 2018 security patch where Google made it difficult to apply OMS layers such as substratum. Android OS is increasingly becoming an iOS clone. It's good that 3/3T will not support Android P because Android P looks like Apple iOS. In contrast, android Oreo looks more like sophisticated and convenient to use. I'll stick with Oreo, because it supports OMS layers unlike Android P.
