N900 and the N8 users will tell you what they think when it comes to Nokia's promises to updates.

DO NOT buy the N9 with the thought that you'll get an update, you won't! If you don't like something about it don't buy it thinking Nokia will update and fix it. Buy it as it is.

Meego has been replace for Tizen a all new project by Intel, Samsung and The linux foundation. Nokia is not the corporation its use to be.

nokia deserves the blame and bash for their bad, arrogant, slow and stupid messy managements that they made from past few years, most of these haters were nokia's customer before and had suffer enough in nokia doom and gloom strategies years, and now they see the meego n9, like and hate confusing them.

support n9 software update annoucement at the shipping time is the first nice thing i hear so far from nokia about n9, but that's not just it hopefully.

I don't see much future with them, the join of Intel and Samsung will bring a new hope to the next project

Sorry Nokia, you made a huge mistake by going with Microsoft. It is a shame my last device will be a Symbian-only device.

Qt is gonna be the dev platform for everything Nokia would be releasing in the future. Whether it be symbiaan or Meego, all app would be compatible bec of Qt. So both would continue to have access to apps in the future.

Its still isn't clear if WP would also enable Qt support for their phones, but if this actually happen then apps developed using Qt can be installed in Symbian, Meego and WP.

The N9 is pretty much future-proof. With a promise that android apps can be used using alien davik in the future, N9's app library would thne be superb :>

All we get from android fans is bashing,,i have moved to iphone from nokia but will still buy an N9..However in iphone forum android fans are bashing like mad...So when i was Nokia lover which i still am or iphone lover i still get agro from android fans..

The N9 will walk over your sgs2 its a powerful linux based computer at heart,,i mean linux power not android built on linux with its force close apps and MEGA fragmented O/s...

I can see meego and blackberry and IOS and W7 in the future but not android,,WHY,,because it will fall over itself and people wont know whether they are coming or going or whether an app will work or cause a crash..Even symbian is still selling millions of smartfones and who knows it may comeback when belle arrives..
