Some people are really immature for laughing in a scenario where people are losing their jobs.

This is all Microsoft. Less phones with symbian produced, more focus on wm.Nokia's marketshare will decline fast, nobody wants a windows phone. And now the Romanian people won't buy one aswell. Another hit for europe.

Nokia is collapsing gradually, I'm afraid they will go the same route as SEGA (from hardware to software and meaningless services).

About time Nokia started performing like a private firm and not a charity. what were they thinking opening a factory in Romania in the first place?

As far as i'm concerned, the only three nokia factories that are needed are those at china, india and indonesia. The rest should be closed. All they do is drive up prices.

I guess if Nokia doesn't launch that WP7 sooner, they will remain with just 1 lil' factory and office in Finland mountains. Great way to ruin a company, abandoning all their previous projects and switching to Windows. Taking them too long, clock is ticking and Nokia is going down the drain. Too bad, i really liked their phones' cameras.

                                  Well , now that`s a shame.

I`m currently living in Romania and Nokia , at least in 2010 , was among the TOP5 best companies in the country , based on market share , profit and shipping rates.
It does not look good for the 2000+ employees in Cluj , as the economic stability of the country hangs by a thread , this might prove to be a devastating blow to the mobile world of Romania.

I don`t quite see the strategy of Nokia but , after reading this article , i`m even more confused.
"but the focus will gradually shift to "customer and market-specific software and sales package customization"" : customer and market specific softare ? Ok , but having plants and production lines in Asia and manufacturing a specific software for , let`s say Ireland or Australia , hmmm that just dosen`t sound right.
I look very forward to the first batch of WP7 phones , not in terms of hardware , but in terms of user experience and uniqueness. Nokia must prove that they made the right decision and that can only be achieved via some top-level hardware ( or at least competition equal ) and a unique customization of WP7 , something you just don`t see everyday now ( HTC , Samsung , LG )
