That's what the pixel has going for it, not holding the highest clock speeds. Software optimisation is the real key to speed when you have all specs the same. As well as OnePlus (who most would argue is faster than pixel) also has simple and optimised software

I don't care about the benchmark scores as long as that phone is rootable and has an SD card slot.
This erases a LOT of phones off my list :D

It was the first smartphone to be official with the SD835 and it defeated 97% of the phones, the 2% being its little brothers XZ1 and XZ1 Compact. It took Samsung a 6GB RAM Note 8 to match the XZ Premium's performance, and the Razer Phone got defeated by this phone in game opening speed.
