    Well face ID can be fooled by mirror but we all have different fingeroprints not even twins have same.
    But i prefer having a normal password also.
    Like my moto X4 having fingerprint scanner but also a 25 letter pasword consisting of many various digits letters numbers and other kinds of dashes and slashes which are available on keyboard.
    Thats the good pasword.

      Just press wrong pattern several times press forgot patern button and when ask for email i can enter factory settings and hard reset your phone to get there. Then the rest is easy to setup is as new device with exact apps.

        Fingerprint scanner is here to stay it seem. The poll should had asked about in-display fingerprint sensor too; it a bit slower. Iris scanner cant do animoji. Lol. Ok. Face unlock is definitely not reliable. Also, people you living with can unlock your phone using your finger while you sleep, so yeah. Should add extra security like scheduling time feature for when fingerprint scanner can be activated so it doesnt work during bed time and only use pattern and password.

          The reason for iris scanner 'being on its way out' - because you cannot do animoji with it - is quite funny. Maybe not as convenient but clearly safer than face recognition. And it also works for twins.

            Why the fuzz about fingerprint scanner?? I only have a pattern lock on my phone for the simple reason that the other methods can be forced open by police. The can force your finger to open the phone or hold it up to your face.. Fingerprint reader is yesterdays news guys. The best method is pattern... I remember people were outrages when the imfrared were phased out by phone makers.. Get with the times!!! The fingerprint reader is old news!!

              It's a given because 3d face scanner is getting in the way of bezelless phone, not to mention it cost a lot more than fp scanner while not being significant enough

                fingerprint reader is where it's at? But if given the opportunity to vote for both, mind as well. They already got your fingerprint. Or it really should be both considering sometimes your fingers are wet or dirty
