The Eu wants to develop their own browser so it can monitor people to their own liking and would wish to implement it on every android device.

i wish they do the same for microsoft windows 10 as it loaded with loads of unnecesarry stuff.

Why not? Android belongs to Google even if it's open source.
EU just wants to steal money since they're all bankrupt & corrupted

Andwaht about Apple? does EU push Apple for these kinda stuff too?

"The other side argues that Google needs to make money back somehow so it can continue to keep the operating system open in the first place. “Nobody is forced to take Google’s apps, but if you want to have certain apps, you have to have the whole suite,”"

Taking into account that Android has ~80% of all phones market share that is just monopolistic behavior, if they keep doing that there will NEVER be some sort of competition besides Apple and they can use that market share to get into and dominate almost every area, not to mention the privacy aspect. The best part is that Google has to yield before the EU because if it doesn't then it risks giving all that market share to Apple, or even worse for them, a startup that could break the iOS/Android duopoly and pose a threat to them globally.

The user is free to choose.
                It is just pre-installed.

I use Opera instead of Chrome

Seems entirely fair, and consistent with the approach they've taken with Microsoft in the past.

but eu forced ms to remove the e version of windows, because internet explorer should be forced on the os. so why is eu against this ?

Nobody is forced to used Google.com Or Chrome. And to use google services, manufacturers need to agree to google's conditions. What's wrong with that? They are providing their services and manufacturers need to agree to their terms.

Finally because I hate that big G search bar forced on Pixel phones. At least in Oreo 8 you were not able to remove it.

Rooting is boring now, at least we don't need to flash ROMs or corrupted Gapps zip files. However this is good for most android users, we don't need pre-installed google bloatware that takes up so much on phone internal storage.

DarK, 10 Jul 2018Isn't safari is pre-installed in every iPhone and you can't... moreThe difference is easily explained, Apple produces his own hardware and install his own software. Instead google is using his dominant position to force other OEM using android, to also use their other softwares. The issue isnt chrome being installed on android, it is the obligation to install it imposed to the OEM willing to use android. A good read is the whole Microsoft and IE case.

Abhi D, 10 Jul 2018Pathetic pathetic ruling! Google is a private organisation,... moreNo they cannot, there are laws, and the law says you cannot abuse your dominant position to force one of your product into another product. If you like it or not it doesnt matter, the law exist and they have to respect it. Being private doesnt give you god's rights, the prohibition of the abuse of dominant position is a principle present in any modern law system, USA included.

These sort of tactics should be banned completely.
Google Play store should be separated from Google's other services.
Apple store should be separated from Apple's other services.
Microsoft store should be separated from Microsoft's other services.

These stores are not provided for free, they take their % cuts of the apps' revenue.

I'm so glad that the EU is coming down hard on these practises.
This is to help prevents abuses by these large corporations.
