H-1, 10 Jul 2018Actually it can through VMs ;)haven't done such ting on windows S tablet but it is possible to run android X86_64 on other surfaces like surface pro 2017(first boot Linux and you have dual boot device which can be 3riple boot and adding android to the mix)
so if you want no need to vm's and it can run almost anything!

Since someone ask, I guess I will write what I was going to write originally about that update. It is either a free update or a pay-to-update. It probably have a time period of when you can update it for free. It also probably a very dreadfully slow and painful update session as we all know how windows is or was. Also Microsoft never even mentioned about the update in other similar news I had read. I think it just gsmarena suggestion. From what news I know there are two version of Surface Go. Windows 10 Home S-mode and Windows 10 Pro S-mode which is more expensive. These not mentioned by gsmarena. The one $399 is the Home S-mode. Chances are you better off buying a regular below $400 laptop with already installed full version of windows 10 and better specs offering. Save you time and money.

Microsoft is a for-profit company like everybody else. Google just makes their profits by promoting extremism on YouTube for ad views. Apple sells sub-par products and calls their consumers liars when they complain. Pick your poison. I'd pay Microsoft for a full license any day over any of the other two options.

... moreTry "while posting from his Windows 10 Pro computer". Oh, and you don't need to pay Google a bunch of money to get the ability to install apps from outside the app store on Android.
And as I said, in order to unlock the Windows 10 S, you need to pay Microsoft a bunch of money. So either way, you have to pay Microsoft a bunch of money extra, whether you unlock it or not.

Windows S is Microsoft's answer for those who want windows but aren't that tech savvy to keep it in good shape. Also helps the devs get the money they deserve through the store by preventing almost every hacked app from running. Piracy is sadly still there.
Giving the option to upgrade to win 10 is a plus for me. And the 2-in-1 isn't that bad for the price.

You can install the full Windows 10 on it if you want something like Steam or Origin on it.

Anonymous, 10 Jul 2018Used to play it on Windows 10 and it works smoothly. Try one of the real games instead of that clone made for your phone. Like, Forza, Project Cars, F1, Dirt, NFS or something crazy like Rocket League, Truck Simulator or GTA... :)

Ah, Windows 10 S. Microsoft's clever way to make even more money from consumers.
1) Users are forced to only buy things via the Microsoft App Store, which feed Microsoft money directly.
2) If a user wants doesn't want to be locked in or be forced to pay Microsoft via the App Store, they have to pay Microsoft via the App Store to unlock their computer.
And people complain about Apple...
