Blancco: Refurbished Android phones lack performance, iPhones miss connectivity

How is this representative of the refurbished market? If someone else uses their phone for however long no matter the phone, it will age and eventually possibly have issues. Seems like a needless headline when all devices will die eventually to shine a bad light on refurbished phones, it's not up to us to make sure the devices last longer then a year without issue and most resellers test the device fully before sale and will include any issues in the description. As for repaired ones well how is switching a part say the cahrging port or screen, going to cause connection and camera issues down the road, seems like hardware failure that would have happened anyway. Like a lot of devices that are refurbished also get new batteries istalled too so that can't possibly fail for at least 2 years. Seems like a manufacturer issue not a repair place or resellers issue.

Because (almost) everyone keeps updating their phones to the latest Android version available while forgetting that the hardware in those very same phones is the same old hardware, and then end up wondering later what happened to their phones. Nothing special happened, you as a user made it happen. While ghe system is updated, hardware running it is not. It's as simple as that.

My point is that a refurbisher would cut costs as much as he can to get more for the bad device he bought.
User experience comes last in this setting.

I am carrying the S9, iPhone X (From work, blugh -_-) and Xiaomi mi 6X.

1. Removable battery.
2. Not SpyLagdroid nor iOS running.
3. Great camera with mp more than measly 12mpx.
My primary driver is Lumia 950 XL and both phones are in parameters. If Sony makes a great cameraphone with removable battery, will buy one and flash it to Sailfish.
Nd there's NO better cameraphone than 808 till today. Believe me, i am fan of cameras. :)

Pretty much useless these days unless you only use it for a second sim. In that case, good luck in charging and carrying 2 phones with you every day. Haven't you heard that the market is full of dual-sim phones? Can't beat the practicallity of that.
So it's not about sheep or other cute animals here. It's about using the phone for multiple other tasks including proper exchange email, proper GPS, proper health apps, proper document editing, proper gaming and the list goes on.. (Things that the cute animals you mention cannot do, btw) And I bet your primary phone is either Iphone or Android (2.3 perhaps?). Unless you really are at my grandpa's age where his only concern is the 400 idk hours he is getting on stand-by..

This article is clearly misleading. The data presented for first quarter 2018 is actually not to be interpreted as some sort of representation of a smartphone brand's durability and/or reliability. Presenting raw data without normalizing it according to % distribution by country/region is misleading because availability of a phone brand per region matters. There may be over representatation or under represenation in some regions especially since the smartphone brands in question are not equally available everywhere. Also, the refurbished phones have not been categorized as to year of manufacture. Blancco actual mentions this on their website: "The report is based on internal mobile diagnostics and mobile erasure data collected from millions of iOS and Android smartphones brought into hundreds of mobile carriers and device manufacturers for diagnostics tests and mobile erasure in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia between January 1 and March 30 of 2018." For gsmarena to interpret and analyze it any other way like what is shown in this article is incorrect at best.
