"Nordberg said he sees Sony Ericsson eventually shedding its feature phones altogether, in order to become a smartphone-only company, a feat that he reckons will take place sooner than you might think."
I bet feature phones will be the next big thing. As well as flip phones. So that both Motorola and SE regret stopping making them.

thats true, when wp doesnt let us customize theis os, it sunk itself with that wood boat. android just can laugh over the customized metal boat.

AnonD-40, 04 Oct 2011Two years later, Bert had an interview with Wall Street Jou... morei think, he would not be with SE 2 years from now (resigned because he made a wrong decision by not using WP as one of their OSes).

Two years later, Bert had an interview with Wall Street Journal and he said...
"We should have taken WP Mango more seriously when it arrived in 2011".

Dude, 04 Oct 2011The title of this news is not really appropriate or correct... more"At this point I wouldn’t feel comfortable investing in a platform that isn’t as good as the one that we currently use."
Read the article.
but he is curious about wp7. He should do both platform like LG,Samsung, and Htc to boost profit. atleast 1 or 2.If Sony redo its cybershot series with Wp7 that would be the only reason for me to jump ship from android to wp7.

Dude, 04 Oct 2011The title of this news is not really appropriate or correct... moreI totally agree. Sony Ericsson's CEO didn't mention any word that shows Android is better than WP7. He just say that his company still wants to develop phones with the OS that they are currently using. He even curious about WP7.

The title of this news is not really appropriate or correct. Never in the news that the CEO ever mentioned that he think Android is better than WP7. Get your article right GSMArena. The main point of the news is not about Android better than WP7, but just about the direction of SE where they going to move to making smart phones only, with the decision of using Android been one of the best decision they had made, about underestimating iPhone and lastly, the CEO mentioned he is curious about WP7, so that mean the CEO in near future would like to explore/know more about WP7. Never ever did he mentioned Android better than WP7.

This is a stupid thing for a CEO to say. This could cause a strained business relationship between Microsoft and Sony.

He doesn't emit a sophisticated aura of being a CEO. haha He doesn't seem to be the person who likes to innovate or take risks. he should seriously pray that WP do not take off anytime soon or else SE is gonna be struggling again, like always.

I do own a wp7 and android handsets, i like them both. But this guy does not know what he's talking about. Do not under estimate an OS that is just over a year old. Oh btw android is only good depending what hardware the phone has, sorry but that is the truth, I know it hurts some people...but my HD7 never lagged like my android xperia X10...spec wise not far from each other.

AnonD-40, 04 Oct 2011He's falling into the same thing once again. They once fail... moreThat's exactly what I think. He's in a loop. It's not about playing by the rules, it's more about setting the rules. Windows phone is unique and it's not playing wannabe to another os.
