Ambiguous should i say of the statement from a CEO of a big company. Even then, the way he talk does not really impressed me much, but so far, SE has really bounce back into the frame with their Xperia line up. But move the focus entirely into Smart phone is not a good idea i think, because SE still has a big fan base for normal phone, especially young guys and kids still like SE phone (not smartphone).

[deleted post]LG, are you serious... lol. Samsung i'll give them some props. Windows Phone Mango is fresh. I have never owned a Nokia device, but they have grabbed my attention. Android, i am not a fan of... they are a bit overrated. I, here, root for the underdog (if thats how we see it) but boy the have so much potential, just enjoy WP7.5 OS so much, it so smooth!

This guy is a joke, idiot. How can one not jump on Windows Phone Mango! Oh well... Cannot wait for Nokia Windows Phone to come out, my hard earned money is NOT going towarsd an android, nor the Sony Ericsson, but a high-end Nokia Windows Mango device. Good job Mr.Nordberg ;-)

I believe I can understand the reason behind this statement. Experience with Windows Mobile with X1 and X2 nearly killed them back in days. They did not work around with the hardware side much hence damaged one of best designed device X2. So hesitation is natural.

I also think that they shouldn't close the UIQ. That step really bring them down to their knees.

Who are Sony Ericsson to claim anything. Their Android phones suck, how long did the Xperia X10 stay with 1.6 donut? If I were SE I would be counting my lucky stars that Sony hasn't pulled the plug on my department yet. And both WP7 and Android see great OSes'

Relax, guys. He's just based his opinion on the fact that Android has seen substantial growth over the past few years, whereas WP7 has not. If you were the CEO of a phone-making company, and you needed to decide on an OS that would bring good sales to your phones, which one would you go for? The one that's currently doing extremely well, or the one that hasn't been received very well? WP7 is still in the growing phase. Once it matures, and I'm certain that it will, especially following the Mango update, SE and the others would definitely make the move to adopting WP7 on their mobile phones, too. After all, he did say, "I am curious about Windows Phone," which means he hasn't ruled out the OS all together.

SE is not a company to trust. i use SE p990, it was light years ahead of any other phone when launched. but they ditched the OS UIQ and all customers of P series were left in a limbo.

This person doesnt fit to be a ceo.. First of all he dont wannt to take risks he dont want to innovate he doesnt have long term plans.. He is just depending on present situation of market.. And demand and market can change at anytime.. Market fluctuates very soon

He is right WP will die like Windows Mobile... The only thing may keep WP alive is the agreement between Samsung & LG with Microsoft i hope they find a loop hole in this agreement.
Nokia fanboys say that WP in the future bla bla bla just because Nokia chose it... They don't have minds to think by their own
Anyway Nokia is dead WP will die and Iphone is dying after i read IPhone4S Specs it's disappointing i hope IPhone5 has better specs

He might be basing his opinion on his experience with WP 7 and not WP 7.5 MANGO which was released just a few days ago. Anyway, it's still short sighted of him to make those statements.

There is no doubt that Android clearly is very much better than WP7! WP7 is today the worst of all existing mobile os, even Symbian is better than WP7, and Bada and iOS and Android are all far ahead of the slowly "developing" WP7! WP7 is atleast more than a year behind all other mobile os! If Nokia had not hired the "Trojan horse" Elop then Nokia most definetly would have choosen Android, because Nokia could easily customize Android in any way they want and add the Harmattan skin and Nokia Maps..., just as HTC added Locations, so the choice of WP7 is based on the lie that Nokia would not be allowed to customize Android even though Google made Android OpenSource and clearly allow anyone to customize it as much as they want, while Microsoft clearly does NOT allow anyone to customize WP7 at all and we still have not seen any real customization made by Nokia to the stock WP7, and only adding Nokia Maps is not really any customization at all! One big reason for Samsung and others to make phones with WP7 is the fact that Microsoft force, bully, them to do so because these companies need to be able to use some of the Microsoft patents!

if SE release an android device with 16GB storage, minimum 768MB RAM and 1,2 GHz processor, I'll gladly trade my sgs2 for it.. just my personal choice..

The great +point of android is open source and thats why it grows rapidly. But this makes many security issues.
Wp7 havent much security issues as android. Nokia knows the definition of smartphone thats why they take the software gaints os the wp7
