If you take off the Nokia logos on the phones the design says pure Nokia European design. You do the same to Huawei or oppo or vivo the design says Ching chong copycat 😀

This one is a misfire. X6 was great in design, specs, quality and price when you combine them. This one is neither. 1st nokia android phone i dont like. Well guess it was always gonna happen, but I'm still a bit disappointed.

[deleted post]Finally, one of your comment makes sense. HMD have ties with Nokia, but HMD are not Chinese but they are Finnish.

Do you understand that HMD have money from all around the world and not just Chinese money? Or are you just obsessed with China? Go there if you want to...

Lol, what's the point of a notch if phone has lot of space at bottom, even with logo.

Anonymous, 18 Jul 2018You think a few ex-Nokia employees had the necessary capita... moreI don't see a shred of evidence in your comment. It is as if only chinese people invest in companies and not a single person from any other country does. Get real. The CPO living and working in HK proves absolutely nothing.

Even if there was chinese investment that still does not make the company chinese. Investment does not automatically mean ownership.

Get real, the company is running on Chinese money. Even their Finnish CPO lives and work in Hong Kong, which was not the case with the real Nokia.

At some point all these teases just become annoying. If the phone is not available globally, stop talking about it.

Anonymous, 18 Jul 2018Don't you realize that Apple copied Essential and Sharp? We... moreno apple did not copy essential ..else the notch would be much smaller. But all these android phones could have copied essential as none of these need the space to put face id hardware. But they blindly copy iPhones design .. by putting a wider notch where it is not necessary ..build up some sense in you !!

except for LG and Samsung, every other phone are 100% China

HMD is based in Espoo, Fi... moreu Sir ..seriously need some tons of common sense !!!! ..... lol ... the reason he said 1% finnish and 99% chinese is ... almost all nokia phones are targeted for Chinese market and they take more than 6 months to come out to other markets.
Now u tell me .. which part of this company is finnish or which part of HMD should actually be called "HMD GLOBAL" ?????

[deleted post]You people are a waste of oxygen. HMD is based in Espoo, Finland in front of Nokia's main office and is run by former nokia staff and it's them that design the phones. It is as Finnish as it can be. The only chinese thing is the manufacturing that is done by foxconn but guess what, iphones are also made by foxconn; does that mean apple is chinese?

The saddest part is that even though you do not like nokia phones, you still come to the comments and post spam and derail the whole section. If you don't like it, stay away.

nik.007, 18 Jul 2018Maybe, just maybe, because they wanted to reduce their cost... moreHaha! I like the sarcasm. I meant, why not do it even if the price of this phone would go up a little? Surely the corresponding increase in price to offset the additional cost can't be that dramatic. With a better chipset than the X6, I feel like this could've been at full potential and released as the global version so the X6 could stay China exclusive (just like Nokia 7) but what do I know.

When is X6 going global though?
