Sony sees more than a 41% decline in total sales in Q2 2018 compared to last year's Q2.

LMAO.China phone isn't bad but since my new China phone encounter death-screen problem just after 3 months of usage (i don't drop it please!), I have no confidence with their products, but it has service for repair but also come with some risk to lost my privacy at the same time. Consider the price is very cheap I have nothing to say or complain. I am not a fussy person or a trolls from the competitors to giving negative comments to trash out a quality brand, my Xperia Z2 giving more memories that longer than my new China phone I am using. The quality make me believe!

                Somewhat confusingly, just because a device has been rated at level 8 for waterproofing, does not mean it has passed tests for the levels BELLOW it. For example, while the iPhone 7 has an iP67 rating meaning it can withstand brief submersion, it hasn't been rated to survive a jet of water (levels 5 and 6). So while it would survive being dropped in the bath, Apple admits the phone should not be taken into the shower. Liquid damage is not covered under warranty.

                In contrast, the Sony Xperia ZX Premium has a rating of IP65/68 meaning it can withstand both a shower and a dunking.

                So.. Do you need another proof?

The front is styled after Omnibalance, the back is styled after 2011-2013 Xperia phones. It's as Sony as it could be.
                  On the other hand, the Loop surface phones (2016-2018) bear the distinguishable Lumia design. It's basically Lumia 920 with some slight hints of Sony style. Really slight.
                  I prefer the iconic Sony design much more.

                      Sony might want to work on owning its home market .. first..
                      Also cutting costs won't keep there phones selling..
                      Also making them heavy is a no no..

Rounded corner design like XZ2 won't worn out the pocket and more comfortable to hold the phone, but trolls will complain it looks girlish...
                        For flat back design gorgeous like Z2 the trolls will complain it is slippery, then the curved back like XZ2 is better grip but the trolls will complain it is replica of HTC but HTC doesn't take a chance to spin on table, then the trolls continues complain why XZ2 can spin on table they don't want it to spin, damn they forget a smartphone is for smart user that can choose from the option by turn down the vibration..
                        Wireless connection is great because no more wired bothering you lifestyle but the trolls will complain radiation generate by the wireless connection but they still playing online game like a maniac don't care the radiation! Some people even charging their phone and playing online game or for music listening at the same time and ask for 3.5mm jack come back, does anyone still care about radiation?!

                            regs, 02 Aug 2018Meh, are you Sony marketing manager trying to invent new st... moreNo I actually have a Sony Xperia Z5 myself and it gets along with water just fine, like an IPX8 device. So I'm speaking from experience and not from my biased opinion. I can post a video too if you like with my Z5 underwater, shaking it inside the water too because it's IP65 as well. Meaning no harm will happen to it even by low jets.
                            Are you going to post a video too with a great condition Sony Xperia IP68 certified phone? Let's see if it fails the test. It probably won't.

                              In my opinion, their design get worse. I had Xperia U and Z2, both are great device with great design (LED strip on transparent plastic, wow).

                                Being a die hard Sony fan and been using it since Sony Ericsson days up till now, I am kind of really happy for the first time that their quarter sales have been declined. I confess that I did wish for this to happen when they announced XZ2 series. The sole reason I end up buying an XZ1 even after the availability of XZ2 is the very design which every tom, dick and harry is selling. The precision design died with XZ1 and I want to keep this last one until it dies on me.
                                By going for this worst design and bad fingerprint sensor placement, they have lost core Xperia fans like me who wont buy this ugly soap-like phone.

It wouldn't work this way.

                                  Camera is hell of noisy. Even delight photos. You can pretty much see here in reviews or in any other review around the web.

                                  Again, Redmi 4 is 139x70x8.7, XZ2C is 135x65x12.1. With nearly same size it's 1.5-time fatter yet Redmi 4 has 1,5 times more charge.

                                  Again, read the god damn code. It's levels. It can't be IP65 and IP68 at the same time. Then read specifications. Scroll down to disclaimer. Point 4:
                                  > Xperia XZ2 is water resistant (level 5 water protection) and protected against dust (level 6 dust protection).
                                  > You should not put the device completely underwater. (meaning IT IS NOT certified against level 8).


                                  Yes it is look cheap like budget china-phones. Even midrange chinese phones looks better.

                                  XZ2C - 49990 ₽
                                  P20 pro - 52990 ₽
                                  SGS9 - 53990 ₽
                                  XZ2 - 59990 ₽

                                  Might be not twice cheaper, but 30%. 30% just for a logo with worse specs. And XZ2 cost more than SGS9 with far better camera and than P20 pro with best camera on market. Both SGS9 and P20 pro are far more function and technologically advanced.
