There's no proof of it, and I can't trace the money, but trust me, that's how it is! They also own 73 % of your apartment and some of your relatives. Again, I can't prove anything, but that's what China does!

Look, your conspiracy theories of "China owns them! There's no proof of it but TRUST ME!" doesn't really fly. HMD remains Finnish with very close ties to Nokia Corporation, founded and run by the former Nokia VP and with investments from European-based venture capital.

You think Switzerland hosts some of the biggest financial centers in the world only for that reason? I'm sure if you think a little further, the picture becomes clearer to you.

Buying out an established but dormant brand name is as Chinese as an investment gets. There are several examples in the same industry all the way from Blackberry, Palm and Alcatel (which is owned by the real Nokia Oyj).

Except... wait... the Chinese investments into HMD aren't hidden at all. They just happen to make up a lesser part of the total investments.

I can make you an excellent tin-foil hat if you want. It sounds like you want one.

So as I said, OnePlus is Swedish, Xiaomi is Indian and Nokia is from Greenland. Or whatever nonsense you want to make up on the spot.

Those smartphones from Nokia, buying people who are used some of Lumias i guess, or maybe some of Nexus users (because of the price, Pixels is more exp, and stock Android). Another, and only solusion is Lenovorola (Mootorola) phones, with similar UI but, also cheaper price.

Yes LG is LG is the 6th, but if you look sales of this OEM in smartphone and year after year decreasing, 2019 is not good for LG smartphones. Those chinese OEMs take a control, over LG, Sony and HTC, because they have lower priced phones with similar or better spec. Huawei/Honor/Nova is number one in that.. HMD Global Oyj is Finnish, registered and headquartered in Finland with a ton of ex-Nokian staff, and listed on the Helsinki Stock Exchange. It was also founded by Jean-Francois Baril, who was the Senior VP of Nokia back in the day.

On top of that, Nokia Corporation have a presence on the board of directors at HMD via the Nokia Technologies president and have a final say in what devices gets the green light. Nokia Technologies are also the key patent provider for the patents used by HMD. The only difference between the old "Nokia Devices and Services" and the modern "HMD" is the corporate structure.
