          Also Pixel does not have great video camera, iPhone X has great video cameras

But i have a Surface Pro 4 Core M with 4 GB and i can do almost everything with it that i can do on my work computer with 16 GB RAM. Games and high end animation or multimedia editing software are the only things you need high RAM. Spreadsheets, powerpoint, project management software etc can all work completely fine in a 4GB unit.

                @ people crying about the RAM. Please use your respective 6 and 8 GB RAM phones and see how much RAM you can use up. Thats right.

                I will take a google phone with 4 GB RAM over a 6 GB/8GB Huawei or Oppo phone.

                  When it does, 4GB is not enough.

                  This Google XL do not need thou. OnePlus have no reason also.

                  But Note 9 / S8 / S9 needs as dex mode is gonna need it soon. As you can see Samsung ramping up the ram since the note 7 series.

                      Only 4 GB, is it a 2016 phone? They should offer at least 6GB in the base model to future Prof it, especially at that expected high price. Seriously disappointing.

                            4GB ram is PLENTY for 99% of smartphone tasks. Have hundreds of apps in the background is stupid anyway. Especially on stock android.

                            8 GB RAM is useless. Try running a Oneplus 6 8 GB version with lots of apps. It will start closing background apps long before the RAM capacity is reached. There is always 3 plus GB free despite the no of apps.

                            Lets face it, anything 3Gb and above can smoothly run the OS and apps smoothly. Its all about hyping specs for consumers.

                              2 fans below that understand better than Google the hardware requirements for android to run properly.

                                Those muscles must be really small and underwhelming.

                                  At least 6gb of ram should be present on the XL version.
