Of course Epic Game is the bad guy here. Very bad one.

Um, I'm already impressed by the SpecialForcesGroup 2 game so...

I, for one, am glad of this decision, and wish other developers/companies also made their apps available outside the play store. The reason? Privacy.

Remember: Google business model is to harvest personal data (i.e. spying on you) and monetizing it (whatever that means; hopefully no population profiling for political gain (yet?)).

But nowadays, even the most trusted sites could possibly contain virus or any malware and turn into an unreliable one.
Better be safe than sorry. Full trust means it will leave you absolutely nothing after it betrays you.

Download it from a truly reliable and safe source, not just from something you trust, which you will if you achieve those two initial things first.

I guess the Epic games executives are looking into purchasing their 7th yachts instead of paying for the party responsible for developing platforms for them to develop games for.
