people complaining about us b*tching about notches and curves on screens- really we can't help with this. the screen is not only for showing information that can be bent or moved away from the fricking notch, we also use it for media consumption and gaming, and media as well as games do not normally have notches on whichever side. the fricking notch is a design failure, however you defend it- a compromise just for the manufacturer to be able to brag that it can stretch its devices' screen to the fricking top. the curves ala galaxies are just a little bit annoying compared to the notches. it distorts the image on the edges just so but can still be distracting; likewise, in the case of the note series, it just doesn't feel natural using the s-pen on the screen that spills over to the edge on a curve. hey, you can't please everyone; it's just that there are people like us who prefer their screens without notches nor curved edges.

Design is very simmilar to LG V30, front at least, so nothing original here, but it really looks cool without that notch.

I mean, if somebody put a camera from 2012 on their flagship would it be okay? A CPU from 2012? 512 MB RAM? Then how can anyone say it's okay for a middle range to flagship phone not to have water protection?

- People ... moreThere are some minor issues like notch. And there are some complete failures like lack of water protection.
A phone without water protection is a phone for a basement dweller. It's only okay if you don't leave your room. I mean come on, a flagship without it was fine in 2012, meh in 2015, now it's 2018 and some still don't have the basic stuff. This is a phone made to look good in the shop, not a phone made for actual use.

I like the design a lot, but I think the curves on the display could be a little bit sharper, to make it more rectangular.
Other than that I think this is currently the best design for a smart phone -- thin bezels, equal chin on top and bottom which also allows for camera. Very symmetrical and nice looking.

- People ... moreThere is 3.5 mm audio jack and it also has stereo speakers. Considering the price, even op6, Zenfone 5 or mi mix 2s doesn't offer water resistant either. Some expensive phones like essential phone, pixel 2, opportunity find x or vivo next don't have water resistant. Not everyone complain about water resistant or audio jack. Money do not care about IR blaster.
By the way it is an amazing phone at this price range.

This is looking fantastic, maybe it will begin a new season of notchless phones and under display sensors.
Next stop is where they manage to put the camera under display too, a vivo nex S without mechanic parts
