and yes, no significant processing power yet so far, every progress in processor is to engineer low power consumption through selective core usages and expensive nano production

S9's processing kills the fine textures at night and combined with soft corners and rather mediocre dynamic range what you will get is a photo which looks neither natural nor eye-pleasing compared to the output from P20 Pro.
In daylight S9 generally does a better job as for details unless you're shooting at plants including flowers, grass and trees which it smear agressively and replace with buzzy mess. Go have a look at P20 Pro vs S9 camera comparison on this website if you don't know what i mean.

Manufacturers tend to release new flagship devices year on year. However, most of the new features and technology upgrades are already available some years ago. From a marketing perspective, it would make sense to release these "new technology or feature" piece by piece so consumers will opt to purchase new devices every year thinking that they are purchasing a device with the latest trend and technology.

Oh, you forgot the super slow quick charge 2.0 for the 4000mah battery, no infrared blaster for face unlock (which they blantantly included in their 'features'), and an 8mp front cam with no OIS. Damn nothing has been a major upgrade, not even their gimmicky S-pen. I think the next flagship of samsung will have qc 4+ and call it a 'major upgrade' upgrade, right?

Poor dynamic range, oversaturated colors, green hue in darker scenes and image fusion introduces some artifacts to the image & doesn't work in close distance. Detail is merely on par with regular P20 but still trails behind S9+, and surprisingly you will actually get better details when you turn off the image fusion which makes no sense. It is a textbook example of "great idea, poor implementation". P20 Pro is still the king in this regard, now imagine what Mate 20 will bring to the table next.

I forgot a real generation upgrade is to remove the headphone jack... and leave it with bluetooth audio that doesnt match.. in quatily.. or to add button to the bottom of the phone as they couldn't hide the lower bezel like apple.. i feel like a real generation upgrade to huawei is lets walk blindly till we see something to copy and do it badly.. i mean 3 cameras.. and its still worse in low light than sonys xz2 premuim.. granted the sony phone weights to much and i would never but it as cameras on phones fail to beat cameras on there own.. does no one comprehened why cameras... are still so big.. compared to phones.. to be able to obtain the detail depth of field and a real to life photo.

Let's talk about the rest what you said, 4000mAh is a must again for a huge phablet like Note 8, I was pissed as I heard Note 8 comes with a 3300mAh battery, so let's don't call this upgrade because I must be done in the last generation of note series. 128GB is a minor update, my opinion( even a 500$ OnePlus 6 comes with a 128GB storage and 8GB RAM). Note 9's speakers are just good nothing else dude. you know HTC had stereo speakers with awesome quality since the stone age and still, HTC 10 Speaker is way better than Note 9's. Honestly, I would invest my money in a P20 Pro and will save myself about 300Bucks.
But I agree on Apple does literally no update, the only update is Price updates.4500$ MacBook, which is trash. 1200$ iPhone, which is trash. 1200 iPad Pro which is trash.

Moving on, it copies ... moreDon't get me wrong I dislike any copycat company including Huawei especially after copying the notch and the removal of the 3.5mm jack. But my point is that the Galaxy S7 is still good to go head on with and 2018 flagship in terms of processing power and camera, so I wished Samsung(or any other oem) could at least offer some decent improvements after 2 generations.
As for supporting Huawei I am only doing so because they are the only company actually improving the camera and battery during these 2 generations. As I said their processors were bad to begin with so any improvements don't mean much.

However, I've saw the same photos and wasn't too pleased with the extra boosted color profile. I know most people won't care, but I do. And can we talk about the aggressive beauty mode on their cameras? Not a fan.
