    As far as I know it's gonna either need UV lights or some water to regenerate.
    And no, Samsung is not copying LG. LG did a self-healing leather back, which was common among phone cases..

        This with plastic panel would preety much make the screen indestructible

          We've seen something similar on the LG G Flex series where there was a special coating on the back which instantly healed any minor scratches.

            That sounds great, seems like we wouldn't need a screen protector anymore, because you know, they are just protecting against scratches and not against shattering

                          This is useful! My previous phone lost its coating after about 1.5 years of usage and it became a mess of fingerprints.

                            No need..

                            Just go to a car auto shop. Have them ceramic coat your phone. Done.
