Xiaomi maniac, 22 Aug 2018I think amoled would rise the price like ... 20 euro? LCD h... moreAmoled display would cost a lot more because its samsung owned.. if you mean oled.. then it would still cost more than 20 dollars.. be lucky if it didnt add 100 min to the price.. also with its notch.. mabye more.

zamroni1, 22 Aug 2018what's the point of the notch??? it's surely more expensiv... morePeople dont notice nothing anymore. There sight is directed on there phone screens and they dont see what others use anymore and well mostly everyone have there phone covered with case anyways.

emi.ph, 22 Aug 2018You've never used a Xiaomi device so how would you know? ... moreI'm using the Mi A1 as my secondary phone and my 'developer' phone for app testing and custom rom flashing, (too risky to do it on my main phone), and I faced image retention when I used the default themed gboard for too long, hence I switch to a black theme gboard. There's also image retention when I used the on-screen navigation bar (that I enable from my custom rom settings) that I quickly disable it as I can see the ghost image of my on-screen navigation bars when watching YouTube. I'm not making this up (why would I lol), and I'm not the only one facing this issue. Just try to search Mi A1 image retention, or Note 5 Pro image retention on the net.

shit, i cant belive it. bye bye oneplus, welcome pocophone xd

Tom, 22 Aug 2018Actually there is another concern, which is the most basic ... moreThis is said to have dual speakers

First, they don't advertise too much, they market within miui forum and community app.
Second, they are partnered with some company.

Will this be another case of LeEco having ambitious plans? Because selling a 300$ SD845 phone can't be good for business.

Killer phone for the price no doubt.

Someone Else, 22 Aug 2018Obviously not everyone is going to get a bad display panel.... moreYou've never used a Xiaomi device so how would you know?
If Xiaomi has bad displays don't you think it'll be all over the internet with the kind of huge sales they're making?

Someone Else, 22 Aug 2018There's probably some drawback to meet this insanely cheap ... moreI think the global version exists...It sure looks like it, if you take a look at the retail box:

Kudos to Xiaomi... But RIP MI A2...

Price is offcourse at its best but more I liked UI...

They have already killed the Midranged Category but now they have came up on Flagships...

suman0, 22 Aug 2018I've been using cheap Redmi phones since the first note. Us... moreObviously not everyone is going to get a bad display panel. You might just be the lucky ones as Xiaomi often use low quality display panel on majority of their phones to keep the cost down, even on their latest phone, the Note 5 Pro. It's most often notice when switching from a light background and into a dark background. So I doubt Xiaomi will quit this practise to built the world's cheapest SD 845 smartphone since even their Note 5 Pro cost almost the same.

LCD has very very very poor sunlight contrast ration, my Redmi Note 2 is my first and last phone with such screen no matter what. I dont care about other hardware (4GB ram and SD636 are good for most of the users) but screen is what use the most so it must be really god which amoled is.

Actually there is another concern, which is the most basic function of any phone: speaker and microphone audio quality. If they are as good as other then this phone is truly a bless

At first I lost my interest because of the plastic body, but now when they announced there will be a kevlar version, well shit is about to get real. My last concern is the durability/stability (working in a long time without minor issues ya know)

what's the point of the notch???
it's surely more expensive than regular square screen while people will notice it is not iPhone X even from distance

                                        Thats mad pricing!!

Really good except for 2 things, the name and the width of tue notch. (Need a small one like the Mate 20)
