Samsung Galaxy A8 Star's price in India revealed

The phone is already official in China as the Galaxy A9 Star.

As per current situation of the market when many top spec phones are available at cheaper price, I don't think this Star can survive at higher than 20K.

Even at 20K it will face heavy competition with Poco F1. Samsung's brand name will not work for them unless they provide better Value for Money phones.

    Oof. Lower the fingerpring sensor placement! It's WAY too high!

      I don't think this phone is pricey but if you look at chinese OEMs, they are just too aggressive with their pricing. In the end Samsung won't be able to cope with this and eventually would have to leave Indian market too.

        for some people here, i would buy a samsung or siny phone with a lower spec that has the same price with huawei or xiaomi with a high end spec, is it clear to you? wonder why people buy a more expensive and smaller engine bmw than a higher displacement toyota or mitsu? i?

                      Last paragraph make sense. I don't think it has any chance to stand out in market in front of OP6, ZF 5z, PF F1. Would have been different story of it had SD845. They should have kept price under 30000INR. Overpriced..

                              With Poco F1 in market, this star will not be preferred, specially in price conscious market like India.

                              If not Poco F1, then One+6 will be next best choice.
                              Agreed that Samsung has a brand image to live up, but then sometimes that brand image itself becomes a problem.
                              A sane price tag is required.

                                  Several aged persons prefer dedicated SD card slots dual sim and ip68 ratings will satisfy their daily needs and people searching look like of note series will also consider. See it as a cheap note series phone and sd660 is good enough for normal users

                                      Again over priced. Should be priced at 20k in India. If it is more than 30k surely it is going to be flop model like A series.learn lesson samsung.

Theres a bunch of better option for the same price, oneplus 6, huawei nova 3, honor 10, mi 8, honor view 10, zenfone 5z, pocophone, mate 10, heck even older oneplus 5t better than this samsung midrange phone.

                                        Of course theres nothing wrong with the specs, it just priced wrongly just for the sake of the brand name. Lets just see how this star shines in sales.
