They just got the "pureview sticker license".
But Not the technology.
Soon they will put a gimmicky huge china camera with bad image processing software

The fact that Huawei can even fit such a huge camera in such a small space shows how far things have come, we dont need such rediculous humps now, even fitting a 1" sensor wouldnt reqire as much space as it once did, would be great to see nokia return with a serious flagship killer, specs to die for and a design which pushes the current trend forwards a bit, like in the old days when they were all about design

i always liked the design of the nokia pureview but by the time i could afford one it was outdated. i'm excited to see what they cook up

Nokia have to pair it's future flagships with this tech. I see a 7, 8 and 9(or 10) series feature this tech. We have yet to see a pure Nokia design flagship though (8 Sirocco might serve as a good example). To see the full revamped Nokia brand, HMD should acquire the ClearBlack Display Tech too which along Super AMOLED displays make for an enhanced screen experience.

Nokia's camera game hasn't been that good as of late. They may have aquired the PureView trademark, but it won't be easy to recreate something of that caliber in current times. Still, I'll reserve my judgement until i see the product come to life.

All they need to do ist to implement this technology in android.

chinese producers have only researched and made tools to make iphones
nokia and hmd will be apple knock offs until they source their phones from Foxcon.
hmd global also cheap sout on camera sensor best of luck to hmd, with huge camera sensormake may they reach dxomark of 808pureview. btw dxomark is bs, only favors iphones

Lets hope performance will be worth of 808, sticking out among all flagships. 808 is actually a phone with the biggest color resolution without interpolation ~9mp+ as you got ordinary bayer and can use not just 38mp like in 1020, but full 41mp, even if with weird ar.
I would even welcome if it came with ND filter, even more if with bayer on that rotating ring, imagine full color resolution of 38mp in red, green and blue not just guessing by filling in neighbor colors.

Oh yes, finally. Can't wait to see the upgraded version of the Lumia 1020's 41MP PureView camera. Better watch out huawei, the Legend is coming back.
