HTC U12 Life will have a Snapdragon 660 chipset instead of a 636

28 August 2018
Contrary to what early rumors claimed, Geekbench shows the phone will pack the more powerful chipset. The U12 Life will be unveiled in two days.

They can add SD845 as long as it wont have price of Pocophone it wont sell and this company days are numbered.

So this one is not HTC U12 Life then.

U12 Life launched with SD636. This could be another soon-to-be-launched phone

Anonymous, 28 Aug 2018636 is newer than 660. 660 is from Q3 2017well yeah , Older isn't the right word , he should of meant "inferior"

pricing HTC pricing ... that's the point that you should do it right this time , what brought you down was overpriced low to normal specs mobiles so don't fall in that again ..

I guarantee it's going to be expensive AF for it's specs.

No 3.5mm jack? No fm radio? No boomsound? No problem. I just want old sense ui skin of m8/m9. Stock quick settings and settings menu sucks.

It would be awesome if phone was running on Android One.

Stop being so negatively poetic to HTC. RESPECT your ODM Grandfather! Besides, it's made by some other ODM now so it goes full circle now. I hope that ODM defied HTC's order to omit the jack and use their groundbreaking HTC USonic USB-C earphones by simply adding the jack altogether.

Revive BoomSound in your speakers / 3.5mm jack and for old Pete's sake, put the 3.5mm jack where it belongs.

This is a result of an close to extict company which once were great but from certain time its getting worse and worse. I am sorry HTC but i dont think there left any light at end of the tunnel for you.

stanley77, 28 Aug 2018better it would be newer snap 710/670 but also that 660 is ... moreSorry but you are wrong there. The 636 is newer than the 660. But they may be are the same chipset, with 636 speed downclocked. That explains why Geekbench recognizes the 636 as 660, but its score reveals the truth there.
