The Apple haters here are so focused on Apple (as usual) that they're missing the fact that the Chinese companies are growing at the expense of other Android vendors, not Apple. This the first full quarter with the Galaxy S9 and Samsung still sold 10 million less phones than last year. Sales for Others, aka other Android vendors, is also down 10 million.

Right... when the new iPhones for this year are announced and start selling, the story will turn around again.... I don't care which company is selling more. Most importantly, can I even afford their flagships anymore! P20 Pro is still so expensive in my country!

A. A... moreYou've literally been hating on every single Huawei related article. Freak off with your BS. Even Huawei themselves acknowledged that Apple will take the second spot again in Q4 2018. But they expect to get the title back next year as people realize you don't need to spend 1000 dollars for a good smartphone. And who the hell buys placeholder phones.
The Mate 20 will surely impress people and might even steer people away from Apple and Samsung yet again. The fastest 40W charging, ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor, triple-cameras, all things Apple doesn't have. And remember, Huawei doesn't have the US market, so it's quite impressive how much they've gotten in terms of market share.

Seems like a hassle to move from android to ios. Honor's market audience is low income individuals, people would cant afford to buy a flagship phone.

Lol people can't seem to grasp the simple ideas that:
A. Apple hasn't released a single 2018 phone yet, and
B. Huawei's success has little to do with it being a better brand than apple and has more to do with people buying placeholder cheap honor phones until the iphones of the year are launched.
This "success" is temporary and when apple makes its launch later this year, honor and huawei will be forgotten, as should their ludicrous ambitions.
