Although the company hasn't disclosed the exact number, it's somewhere in between 68,965 and 100,000.

    And it was out of stock in 3 minutes exactly from both sites
    And the 256 version was removed from flipkart earlier

            That said, flagship devices are getting more and more expensive to build and support. Not 1K expensive but still.

Same thing with the Nexus and the Moto X. All they did was just make the market more crowded. They didn't really change the price as far as I can remember, though correct me if I'm wrong

                          Depreciation is one factor and then cost of material manufacturing

                          The Snapdragon 845 supplied by Qualcomm is another factor, Xiaomi must have negotiated a contract that would have made Samsung jealous. Better terms would be given for higher volumes, so all phone manufacturers would have paid a different amount, clearly Xiaomi intends to sell high volumes of the Pocofone and say if it releases another model, having the same flagship SoC is a in part why those who read GSMA get the best deals

                          The part of the question I can't answer is how much profit Xiaomi make on each handset
                          Cost to produce, add to that a mark up which contributes to the gross profit

                          Apple if memory serves has an astronomical mark-up which is 4? or 5? times the typical mark up for phone manufacturers ( 1st Trillion $ company)

                          There are NO Snapdragon 845, 660 or 636? that can match this price.
                          I am not concerned about the price per se only if it generates a downward pull on phone prices.

                          When people were dissing phones made of plastic for not having premium "feel" unless you wanted a heavily scratched phone you put it in a case

                          There will be those who state not a flagship as doesn't have this or that ok opinion

                          Here is what gets me excited 30 cities Asia; 14 Europe; 14 Middle East & Africa & 4 Americans that is a total of 62 Cities

                          If this sales performance is repeated oops my bad WHEN this is repeated in all 62 cities
                          4, 275, 830 pocofones will be sold... And India is getting a do over
                          Wow 4 million how do you like them apples

                          The point is all manufacturers may be forced to lower prices, both contract and non contract, as long as these sell above cost to manufacturer, then they will survive

                          The Pocofone price could mean that it becomes an affordable second, retain the "old" flagship as well

                              Bought it yesterday, I was surprised that I got a Xiaomi phone in its first flash sale. It has never happened to me.

                                New Android phones are released almost every 2nd week or so, form an Apple phone user this is so fun to watch

                                  1. The screen. It is LCD, not AMOLED like other flagship phones
                                  2. The camera
                                  3. It is not water resistant like other flagships
                                  4. The frame is plastic, not glass or metal
