Xiaomi sold at least 68,000 Pocophone F1 units in less than five minutes

29 August 2018
Although the company hasn't disclosed the exact number, it's somewhere in between 68,965 and 100,000.

This phone will be a runaway hit. It simply has no competition in terms of price:performance+features ratio in the flagship range. Xiaomi probably produced this phone with barely a profit or even possibly zero profit.

Samsung: Decent midrange phones, mediocre performance SoCs, bad pricing but compensates the great customer service.

Huawei: Excellent pricing on low end and midrange phones, decent SoCs, but has one of the worst customer service.

IDK but I have a feeling of switching and buying another Samsung midrange phone...

Ugh, I'll just buy a Nokia 150 instead XD

Wherever xiaomi has presence has an excellent service. And it already has presence to much of the world (much of Europe, Middle East, Latin America lately)

Imperator Neubaticus, 30 Aug 2018There's not much to expect from huawei anyway. Agreed.
I already checked up my phone on their customer service, and they'll always tell me to buy another one cause they can't repair!
So much hate for their employees by the way. :(

            I like it.

Can you make an SD 845 phone with other specs below the average? So this will get cheaper. See why it's sold so much? Because people see SD 845.

You probably didn't read this earlier articles

For each of the 62 COUNTRIES, there normally just ONE city i.e one central distribution point that would receive the phone and delivered, there isn't a need to set up multiple location, that is the basis of my post.

My point is Xiaomi have a track record of these sales and people are dispensing with premium build and looking to internals and having a Snapdragon 845 same as Pixel, OnePlus, S9, Note 9, etc for what cost less than half the price of a Pixel and a third of the price of the next iPhone

Xiaomi may or may not increase the number of (COUNTRIES) cities from the 62 from the list,
4 million for 1st run, but as Xiaomi do the second flash sale will be more than 68,000

The one thing Xiaomi gets wrong is making these flash sales last, 5 minute remember when you were little and mom said chew your food!

I don't know, but I hope this phenomenal success because it shows that there is no reason for a say this pocofone premium build for under $500

This is good deal for sure. I would recommend because next model will cost significantly more, but this will be good for next 2-3 years.

The kernel is already up. Probably a new record & they promised a much broader support to (costume ROM) developers. In the times when this is becoming rarely (Google, Huawei) guess what this will make a hot cooky to meet a fortune teller.

And I've read that they have Chinese government support.

They aim to be the No. 1 In the World, and at that point probably they could choose any price they want, or even keep the low prices and make the profit, simply because of the huge scale.

I like this phone a lot and i would buy it, but i already have Redmi Note 5 and i dont need a new phone for few years. I dont have money to buy phone like changing socks :D And i dont leash phones too. I buy them out on the day i buy them. Only things in life you leash are apartment, house or a car that are too expensive to buy out day one. In technology leashing is not worth it. By the time you have paid the last bill the tech is already too old that it does not cost anything and nobody really want to buy used tech that is 2+ years old as second hand. And especially low prices Chinese brands.
