Hey guys, we need something original!"

"I know! Let's take Samsung's curved screen design and pair it with the back of the HTC U11/U12+."

"Sounds great! But what about the bezels?"

"Don't make them as small as most other manufacturers do. We like them big and juicy, people like bigger phones with smaller screens!"

"Excellent! But what about our brand? People will be confused by the design. How do they know it's a Sony?"

"Easy! Let's slap SONY on the front of the device, so that people never forget what they bought!"

"Perfect! But what about additional features? Something really original!"

"Let's make the frame sensitive to squeezes, that's never been done before!"

"Brilliant. And what about RAM? 6GB is the new standard for flagships, some even go 8GB!"

"We'll do neither of that!"

"You're promoted!"

Welcome to the Sony Galaxy S9.5

[deleted post]Excuse me, I may be a Sony fan, but it doesn't mean that I'm as blind as the others, bashing brands and things like burn-in, the person u can refer to is most probably the 3D Predictive Memorys guy, and not me. Flippin hell I'm innocent...

3D Memories, 30 Aug 2018Exactly, it's a clone of Samsung Galaxy S8 or S9. It's like... moreTo be fair it's a generic "phone with a curved display & no notch" design.

TheGoldenMellifluous, 30 Aug 2018IDK , because in other reports before XZ3 was unveil this 1... moreWell, obviously that's wrong lol.

10 years from now: "Sonny announces Xperia XZ13 Compact - a 12 inch phone that you can easily fit into your dedicated phone bag. Oh, and battery is 3200 mAh."

Why do they have to follow every single dumb trend...
First, fingerprint on the back, instead of the best location ever (on the side). After that, they made everything glass, instead of the actually durable aluminium/nylon combo. Then they came with the rounded back which makes it bounce all of the place. And now with the rounded corners and curved display.

Why do they get worse every day?
              They had the best designs.
              Flat, symetrical, simple, effective.

The biggest improvement of it , is actually the BIONZ and Spectra ISP image processing algorithms with Scene Recognition 2.0 , or in this case , AI on Xperia .

No optical stabilization for camera. Not good

This OLED LG for Sony Xperia XZ3 has Triluminous technology.
to the ones who say it does like samsung, go check nokia 8 sicroco and know that Samsung's AMOLED doesn't have QDs

I like that Sony turned to OLED, and also the fact that XZ3 is thinner than XZ2 and XZ2 Premium. I'll wait for the full review, and if camera + battery life are also ok I might buy one.

AA, 30 Aug 2018You are right. XZ3 is more like the 'XZ2 Pro' or 'XZ2 Plus'... moreYep, I agree. Sony fans should just buy the XZ2. It doesn't have an OLED display, but you get almost everything from the XZ3 with (as you said) a cheaper price.

Anonymous, 30 Aug 2018The only 3 phones i can accept without headphone jack- 1. ... moreThe headphone jack, like the FM radio, is considered a 'poor man's feature', and omitted from the most expensive flagship phones (only Samsung resists this trend for now).

The cheaper phones usually have the headphone jack. Because nobody in a developing country e.g. India would buy your budget phone if it does not have it.

                                    It's discrimination, plain and simple.

They gonna put out of space price on it and no one gonna care about it....
