Sonu4678, 31 Aug 2018Sorry but i don't see any invention in this whole stupid me... moreThe inside mechanic is different if you do a tear down. The same way how every watchmaker make different movement system even if it look the same from the exterior. Sure, people with lack of engineering knowledge just assume it another slider from the past. Sliding camera is not invented for solving the notch. It just unavoidable consequence to make less bezel on a phone. Investing money wont give birth to new ideas. You simply dont understand how things really work. *smh

I don't know why people are giving so much credit for a flawed product. I think it's mostly because people hate notch so much that they are willing to embrace another stupid trend.
First invent a problem(notch) then solve it with another problem(slider)
People think "Wow! Amazing! It's a new st". I won't buy that.
P.S. My problem with Huawei is that instead of investing some money in R&D to solve the problem, they just followed another brand without any effort whatsoever.

Roy, 30 Aug 2018All the people calling Chinese brands copycats , so they ha... moreRidiculous, Huawei used a BW second camera with the same FoV as the main while Apple used a second camera with a normal lens instead, these are completely different solutions which serve often different functions. By your argument Huawei obviously copied HTC and Google (Project Tango) and one other model I can't remember.
As for the blur, Google does that with just one camera.

Roy, 30 Aug 2018HTC's implementation was so poor that they ditched it thems... moreAre you just sarcastic here? The P9 failed to surpass Galaxy S6's single camera, on any front, with two. The P20 Pro just edges out in very low light and zoom 3x or above, but still loses in terms of detail to Samsung and Google in usual daylight shots, and that's with 3 cameras against 2.

Sonu4678, 30 Aug 2018Now they're copying Oppo Find X. These Chinese brands smh, ... moreCopy what? Sliding motorized camera? First, try to recognize what the invention itself is. Is the invention is the sliding design or the motorized technology itself; or is it the absence of the front camera made the front look bezeless is even considered an invention? So in short, Huawei has probably patented everything they can claim to have invented as a consequence of which the camera exists, but the sliding/pop up camera itself is hardly the invention itself. The technology behind its making is the real invention.

That's how it works.
P20 may have some design from iphone, but it has the best camera and cheaper price.
twilight color is their innovation...it's original!
I'd prefer to call it, 'inspiration' rather than copy, except xiaomi who copied 90% of ipx.
