I have read several theories regarding this, but couldn't find a concrete reason. Care to share some thoughts? (No probs if u r busy or don't wanna write much). Thanks.

Having people say what they think of a standard definition youtube trailer is not measurable on any level. :)
Is that really how Sony calibrates their stuff?

Well as expected, trusted review site just said it, there iPhone x looks dull in comparison with zx3 display. no surprise there though. I think at this early stage, Samsung fans should just accept probably second best and move on cos an in-depth review and comparison might be to hard for them to swallow.

It has the latest chipset and everything else has been upgraded including the screen as this article describes. You must be one of those spec obsessed nerds harping on the 4gb RAM. Why not put 12GB of ram in a phone while you are at it. The place that really needs more memory is in the cache of these CPU's. They are always lower than apple's cpu -which is why the current gen apple cpu always beat the current gen Android cpu.

Testing can be either numerical with random numbers that you actualy need to incorporate into overall conclusion, or statistical based on actual user experience, like this...
So yeah, believe what you will.
I personally cant see display quality in random list of numbers and equations.
But I can see which is better quality if displays put side by side to compare visualy.

you at least do know that ram is not that expensive as oppose to display, right?
and the overall under the hood certification and optimization, add that with aftersale support of sony phone
pocophone while spec as flagship, it still lack what make a flagship well, flagship
The screen in average(the easiest way to cut cost), the build material is pretty much plastic(save for the kevlar ver.), lack necessary certification(like the L1 DRM for streaming services) and no matter how much promise they give, after sale support is still unknown, add that to the fact that the phone is online market base, so yeah
i do agree the phone is expensive, but saying it underspec and even compared it to low end phone is kinda stretching the argument, still, you can argue about these bcoz i see you really hate sony

freespirit16680, 31 Aug 2018Honestly it's crazy to say anything about XZ3 display now a... moreOLED might have a pop in watching movies but when it comes to white UI screen that most of us waste our time on mobile device LCD takes the cake especially one on XZ2.
Unless brightness is cranked up all the way up OLED screens are a PWM flicker fest with whites that shifts from cool to warm as its never pure white.

I watched a trailer for the Upcoming Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse film, and it popped with colours and dynamic range, while blacks were perfect. It made the iPhone X I was using as comparison look dull.

Remember it's just a survey. With no testing and numbers to speak for each display, there's no way to tell the ZX3's display is actually better than the competition

Normal xz3 does oled Bravia master display hdr10 bits rec 2020 with image processing sdr yo HDR. No Samsung mobile journalist has dared to compare it on YouTube.
