about 10 years ago everyone told that Nokia N9 swiping gestures are not usable. now both ios and android uses them

Anonymous, 01 Sep 2018Android Pie is gesture based (can still switch to software ... moreiOS copied webOS, QNX, BB10, Meego.

In the first five years, Google copied Apple more. Now it's been Apple copying Google and other Android OEMs. Dual front speakers, water-resistance, raise to wake, OLED, bigger displays, iMessages, and several more features were copied from other OSes.

Matias Duarte created webOS. Then he moved to Google in 2010. He's finally bringing webOS on Android and its slick. Pie is the best software experience I ever had. Switching Google Maps and YouTube as PiP is fluid. While iPhones still lacks PiP or split-screen. I tried them all. Apple is the real copycat as of late.

Google's implementation is actually better. Swipe up, and it's webOS card UI. Apple's webOS is lamer and not as intuitive. Matias Duarte nailed it. Apple just copying and couldn't even copy it correctly after 8 years.

Pie will show up once a major company starts shipping oreo phones.

This will be Huawei with the Mate 20 and it will push the percentage up

Android Pie is gesture based (can still switch to software buttons, except Pixel 3 / XL onward) UI so people are being "cautious" here. It is a copy of iOS gesture system.

Ahhhh!!! Andrid and its Fragmentation...its frustrating, Hope Fuschia OS completely solves this mess!!!

Android pie is not found on the pie. Hopefully it will be soon because that will be confusing and nonsense to call android pie yet this version is not included in the pie chart itself.
